When we did the Tropical Paradise theme as, The Thrifty Six, I immediately knew what I wanted to wear. A, for me, unusual colour combination. And because I actually really liked the outfit, I’ll show you more of it today. Very out of my, what you call, comfort zone. But we know by now that we just have to experiment with combinations and colours every now and then. Not to often for me, because I really like the simple outfits I usually wear. For me it doesn’t have to be all bells and whistles.
Unusual colour combination that is new to me
It’s not a secret that I am not wearing colours a lot. I just love to wear black. And when I do wear colours I like to do it in a monochrome outfit, or ton sur ton. I hardly ever wear different colours together. But these colours are Autumn colours and I am a Autumn type. So perhaps that is why I actually like these different colours together. I guess this is some sort of colour blocking isn’t it?
Pineapple colours are unusual for me to wear together
This for me unusual color combination feels very good. That’s also because I absolutely love this skirt. I wore it so many times last winter. And these kind of skirts usually show quite a bit of tucked in tops or whatever, luckily it’s not that bad with this one. That’s also not the case with my black silk skirt, it all depends on the quality. The top is pre loved, because that’s what The Thrifty Six is all about. Usually I don’t wear this kind of wide tops, but I fell for the color and the crochet. I’ve had the cardigan for a long time and wanted to put it in the pile for sale last February, but I changed my mind. Et voila!
The amazing sandals you have seen here. I wear this unusal outfit with wonderfully colorful statement earrings and some green accessories. Unfortunately I can’t wear the earrings all day, too heavy. I am happy with this outfit!
I would really appreciate it if you would follow me on Instagram.

I just love how you have moved beyond your comfort zone Nancy and have tried different clothing combinations. This one for example just tickles my fancy. It’s that gold cardigan probably, but I just love everything about this.

Venturing out of one’s comfort zone is a good exercise every once in a while. I think you’ve done a marvelous job with this color combination and how interesting that you call the hues pineapple colors. You never know what you can come up with when inspiration strikes.

That skirt is so pretty. I love the colors you paired with it, esp the bright yellow and the greens. All fall colors in my opinion and they look great together! It is fun to step out of our comfort zone sometimes.

This is an amazing color combination. I would not have thought of putting these together, but they are lovely. And a great transition into Fall. That’s what is fun about these themed challenges: getting outside your comfort zone and trying to something new.

You look gorgeous. I would have never put these colors together either but they work to well.
If you can find the colour in nature (eg. in a pineapple!) you can wear it on your body. Love the pop that the yellow cardi gives this, Nancy!
I really like this color combo on you. The skirt is beautiful.
