And now I finally have a color to show you. To sur ton in a pink skirt with pockets! Yes! But it was still quite a search to find this outfit! Let me tell you about it. Months ago, one Saturday morning, while I was working out at home and watching Saturday Kitchen Life on the telly, I saw one of the chefs wearing this outfit. Well at least something simular. And I knew I wanted it. The pink skirt, a light pink top and a gold coloured belt.
But first something different then my new pink skirt.
First something different. Gerben has wanted a smartwatch for a while now. It just takes him a very long time to find one that he is really content with. And now I got 1 for a collaboration! Lol, I have one sooner then him! And I didn’t even want one. This is the Actyve smartwatch. Suitable for iOS and Android.
And while I didn’t really want one, once you have one, you get a little “addicted.” But it is actually nice to keep track of your sports performance. I am now addicted to the pedometer! No….not really…. For notifications of emails, apps, Instagram likes etc. I think it’s really unnecessary because I always have the phone nearby.
And of course you have to turn on all notifications on the phone to get them on your smartwatch too. Well, I’m not going to start that, it will drive me crazy, even if I turn off the sound, I don’t need to see all those notifications. I’ll check my mails etc. when I want. But see how much fun it is to personalize the watch face! And I have to say, is is a beautiful elegant watch. A nice gadget but for me not more than that.
What a long road to travel to find my pink skirt
The belt didn’t seem that hard to find, but if I have something in my head then it should be exactly the same. So the right width, etc. I don’t mind looking for it, but it can be so frustrating that what you have in mind, which isn’t that unique at all, isn’t available or takes a long long search. Finally found the belt I had pictured in my head!
The top was easy to find. I have to say that I ordered 7 tops and only two remained. And only 1 to wear with this skirt. And then the skirt. I ordered this one first. I got it in and there was a seam loose. You didn’t really see it, but I knew it was there, you know. And that bothers me. This skirt was also not cheap and the quality for the money was a bit disappointing.
I returned it. Then ordered 4 other skirts, all from different shops, they were not to my liking. And I really couldn’t find any other pink skirts that I liked. This one was still stuck in my head because it does have pockets and had the perfect length. And then I got a 20% discount! So ordered again and voila! It takes a while, but then you also have something!
The blouse is an eyelet blouse. I don’t like blouses but this was exactly the color I had in mind. And I do love eyelet, where is that word coming from anyway? I actually almost only wear ton sur ton or monochrome outfits. Almost never do colour blocking and wear more then two colours. But I think the light and brighter pink together is one of the most beautiful combinations. A few gold accessories is all the outfit needs.
I would really appreciate it if you would follow me on Instagram.

Nancy, this is a wonderful tonal outfit and one that you look fabulous wearing. I’ve had a fitness tracker for many years now and it’s the stats on my activity level and sleep patterns that I find so addictive.

I love this outfit Nancy! A couple of years ago I searched high and low for a blouse and skirt like yours – I eventually found almost what I was looking for (my inspo was a Villanelle outfit from series one of Killing Eve) but it was much harder than I thought it would be!

Oh yes, I remember that one! From you and Villanelle!I also thought it would be much easier, but when we have something in our head….
Oh Nancy, what a beautiful pink outfit! I love the vibrant pink skirt with the softer shade of pink in your top. The eyelet is so pretty! And now I am wondering about the history of eyelet. Maybe we should do eyelet for September’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! I don’t think we have featured eyelet yet. I also love the gold belt and those gorgeous sandals! And your new smartwatch is super fun. I am like you though, I hate all those notifications. I will check and respond when I am ready to! Sorry I am so late to the party. I am finally catching up on things from crazy week and weekend!

Better late then never right! That’s a good idea! And I will google eyelet indeed! The smartwatch is now in the drawer, can’t be bothered with all that stuff!
Loving all the pink Nancy 🙂 Beautiful blouse.

Thank you for dropping by and commenting, Nancy! Yeah, Blogger has finally stopped sending email notifications for my blog. If you log into Blogger, you should be able to see my post on your dashboard (you have to Follow me – I still have that gadget). I do post 4-5 times/week, so can guarantee that there are posts! 🙂
The word eyelet is from “eye” (the holes look like eyes) and the suffix “-let” with means small/diminutive. So “small eyes.”
What a pretty outfit! I love that pink skirt.

Oh that is very annoying Sheila, I will add your blog to my phone at favourites. And Shelbee and I decided to Google Eyelet becausewe want to do it for the next month’s theme!! Thanks Sheila!!
