Whether it’s a social gathering, a meeting, or a business network event, there are a few things that make you memorable, and how to use style to do that. As you know, first impressions count, and they last for a long time! Truthfully, you can be remembered for making a good or bad impression, and it’s safe to say you want to do the former. How you present yourself through your style and outward appearance can either win people over or drive them away. But it’s not always easy to know how best to present yourself. So how can you ensure that your style wins over people and leaves a good first impression? Fortunately, there are several ways of achieving this, which are neither elaborate nor expensive. Below are some tips to consider when you want to win people over using your style.
How to use style wearing bright colors
Wearing bright colors would set you apart in a room full of people. It gives you the opportunity to have a grand entrance while looking attractive and stunning. Colors such as yellow are said to symbolically represent the sun. Knowing how bright such a color is and taking advantage of it at a function helps you to be confident and elegant while attracting the attention of everyone. However, your colors mustn’t be overbearing to avoid getting a negative response. Therefore, be sure to balance out your colors and consider the event and time of day to be on the safe side. I never have received so much compliments wearing this look!
Wear a smile
Wearing a smile is the easiest way to get noticed and leave a positive impression. It’s a hidden language that exudes positivity. And who doesn’t want to be around positive people?
You attract a lot of people when you smile because smiling in itself is contagious. It helps you feel good and makes you more approachable. Additionally, smiling makes you more attractive and youthful. This would definitely leave a positive impression on anyone you come across. So, whenever you’re leaving your home, don’t forget to put on a smile! Sadly I have a facial expression where a lot of people think I am in a bad mood…..lol
Take care of your skin
Radiant and healthy skin makes you feel more confident. And this radiance is also seen and appreciated by those around you. Therefore, it is important to take good care of your skin. Be sure to invest and use the right products. You must pay attention to the ingredients in the products you buy for your skin to avoid skin irritation, allergic reactions, and other adverse effects. The last thing you want is to harm your skin with the products that should be helping it.
How to use style with your hair
There’s a lot your hair says about you. Dirty, unkempt hair or a permanent bad hair day would definitely not get heads turning for the right reasons. This is why you should pay attention to your hair. Wash your hair regularly to avoid the buildup of grease, dandruff, or head lice. A regular wash would also restore damaged hair and bring it some shine. Although I only wash my hair once a week, I try to, with shampoo that has no sulfates, alcohol or silicones. You should also consider doing something new and edgy! Perhaps, you could go for a nice cut, dye your hair or add some highlights. You should also add accessories to your hair, such as statement pins and ribbons, to give your hair a different look.
Emphasize your eyes
The eyes, they say, are the windows to the soul. Therefore, to draw and capture the attention of others, you should emphasize the beauty of your eyes. There are several ways you can do this. For instance, you can apply the eyeshadow using eccentric colors to draw attention to your eyes. You can also put in vivid color contacts. Note that your eyelashes are very sensitive and uniquely expressive. Therefore, you should emphasize this by investing in mascara.
For women, a high-quality mascara will darken your eyelashes, curl them up and make them look deeper and more beautiful. You can also complete the look with a pair of false lashes. An eyeliner would add a bold and sophisticated look to your style. You would be a sight for sore eyes.
Dress sharply
Dress to suit the occasion, or else you’d embarrass yourself and your friends. Avoid overdressing for the occasion as well as underdressing. Do well to be moderate. If you don’t know what to wear, don’t feel shy to seek advice from friends or the internet to meet the dressing expectation of the occasion. Make sure to wear a comfortable dress, not one that will make you so uncomfortable that you’d rather attract negative attention. Make sure to match your colors accordingly to avoid color blocking. It can be very embarrassing to block colors at a function. Be careful you don’t become a victim of color-blocking.
Be yourself
Nothing beats being you at a function. You gain the trust and respect of others and admirers when you learn to be yourself. It helps you to be authentic and the perfect version of yourself. You tend to make new friends and attract positive people when you are yourself always. Make sure to have all the fun you can have at the party or function. Don’t do anything to impress anyone because you may never know how offensive your attempt to impress will be to others. Impressing people can also cost you a lot. Just flow with everyone around and be sure to attract the right and positive people at the function you find yourself at.
Wear a pair of heels
For women, wearing heels gives you a sense of confidence and makes you more feminine. It also changes your looks and attracts the attention of everyone to feel your presence. When you wear heels, you feel bossy and feel in charge. You may sometimes feel you look better than anyone else because all attention will be on you. However, this doesn’t mean you replace your sneakers and flat shoes with heels. Would you want to wear heels to the beach?
The ultimate goal in all is to be the natural person you are. Wear what makes you feel more confident! How to use style tips, could help you!

I’ve found that wearing bright colours is a great conversation starter – when I’m wearing something eye-catching strangers often comment on my outfit…and of course that is a reason to smile! It’s been proven that bright colours make us feel happier so I like to think I’m brightening up everyone’s day! Thanks for linking up!
