When I write these Throwback Tuesday posts, I always think of a title when I have all the photos. Didn’t have to think hard for the title of this one. The photos are all about my love for food!
My weeks have started very boring lately and ended well! At least that’s something hey. Monday is always the same with working out, laundry and then blog updating, going through emails etc. And the days after that were not much different. I had done a new exercise at the physiotherapist. Walk down a hill on the treadmill. Well I felt that one on Thursday! What a muscle pain! Anyway, that’s healthy pain right?
It’s all about love for food
- We also ate chili sin carne with lots of vegetables
- Caesar salad with croutons
- Apple treats
- Sunday’s breakfast
On Thursday my sister had to be in the village where I live, so we went for lunch together. She lives about 20 miles from us. I forgot to take a photo. In the evening I made salmon with Caesar salad and I had two apples in the fridge, which were not completely fresh anymore, so I baked them with raisins, cinnamon and sugar and wrapped puff pastry around it and had them for coffee.
Friday is always my cleaning day and it took me all day because there was also a pile of ironing to do. I really hate ironing. But I would like to do what I still can do in the household. In the evening the weekend starts for us and we always enjoy it so much!
A weekend full of good food
- All sorts of small bites
- Quiche and meat with roquefort sauce
- I ate way to much…of course
- Creme brulee, my favorite desert
Saturday first working out and then read a book in the garden and in the evening we went out for dinner with friends. I asked again for a bigger table and they had put two tables together. We went to a new restaurant that all served small snacks. I like that more then a plate of food. It was great fun. We therefore sat there for 4.5 hours! Enough to chat!
And on Sunday we went for a bicycle ride after both of us had worked out, and after we had breakfast. Pancakes! We cycled 30km, which is about 20 miles. It was so much fun. Nice and relaxed, it was not busy. Enjoyed the beautiful nature, saw birds of prey. And when we got home Gerben went for a delicious ice cream. My favorites are lemon, cocos and hazelnut. In the evening he also made mussels Irish way! Talking about love for food! But we love any kind of seafood. And then we watched the Grandprix, we recorded that, and Max finished second! Well done boy!
- I love these kind a days. Sunny and relaxed
- Also had a relaxing day
- Mmmmmmm
- And a bottle of Sauvignon to go with. Fish has to swim!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
Sounds like a great weekend! And a tasty weekend too!

Haha, yes it was!
You certainly seem to love your food, Nancy. In fact it all looks so very delicious that I’m starting to get hunger pangs even though I only had dinner about an hour ago! That first photo of you biting into that pizza displays so much joie de vivre! And you look fabulous too, in your leopard print dress. Wow, a 30 km bike ride sounds incredible! xxx

I love our bicycle rides. I have a ebike, can’t cycle on a normal bike since 2012.
You sound like us Nancy…life is all about food. It’s nice you have a good routine down. We keep switching ours up.

Haha, it’s always time for food!
What a great bike ride. We are probably going to wait again till the fall to bike, it has gotten to hot now to do it comfortably. All the food looks delicious: I need to try some new recipes to change it up. We love food too! Since we can’t travel abroad this year, I am bringing Europe home by getting some nice cheeses every week, and making more fresh salads.

Oh that’s a great idea! I love cheeses! Especially the blue ones!
I love food, too, Nancy! But I haven’t had much occasion for eating out, dining in, or even trying new recipes! All of your food pictures look amazing! Thanks for linking up.

Oooh, food, I’m in!
Have you considered a stand-up steamer for your ironing, Nancy? I bought one a few years ago, and I used it every day – it was just under $200 (Canadian) and it’s down to pennies per use now. We even got rid of our iron and ironing board! It’s wonderful for quickly steaming out a garment, or for freshening up something that’s gotten creased. I also like using it if I’ve been second-hand shopping, to kill anything that might be lingering on it. Well worth it, anyway!
You look like you’ve been having so much fun!

Oh yes, we had that in the clothing shop I worked! That would be a idea! Oh yes do, Blogger has such limited features!
