Another Testdrive Throwback Tuesday #24

testdrive

We seem to be doing the same every Saturday for the last weeks. Going out for a testdrive and entertaining. Nothing wrong with that of course. But what happened the rest of the week?

Last Tuesday I went to the hospital for the rash on my face. Got another cream and a prednisone cure. Well if I hate anything it is prednisone, what a mess. But what has to be done has to be done. This week I have to go back three days for the tests. I don’t like that at all because in the meantime I still don’t take maintenance antibiotics and have to go to a hospital so often. But let’s hope and pray that it all goes well.

It’s all about cars

And the car had to go to the garage for a repair. Whenever you think that there will be no bills for a while, there is something unexpected. In any case, we have decided what kind of new, to us, car we want and what we want to spend for it, so the search for the wow car continues.

I slept terribly badly on Thursday night. It’s because of the prednisone. I told you it was rubbish. Your body then becomes so very restless. And it always gives me those weird red cheeks. When the alarm went off at seven o’clock, I was so tired so I slept a bit longer until 09.00. I hate that because Friday is my cleaning day and I always have a lot to do. (Actually not! But I make myself have to do a lot!)

Testdrive with a BMW

Saturday we had my sister and brother-in-law visiting. I am so glad we decided that we can have friends and family over. Because with four people in our house there is plenty of space and it is so nice to have a chat and a cozy evening with each other. This Saturday, friends will also come along!

Last Saturday we went to look for a car again. This car did have the wow factor and is fast. We like that. I just didn’t drive in it because I was still a little woolly in my head from the prednisone. We did have a BMW before our Merc and I do like a Beamer!

Sunday we went to the national park for a walk. Where we were caught in the rain! I didn’t even mind, thought it was way too nice to be outside. And Gerben had made delicious Mousaka that we wanted to eat during Formula 1. Well that match ended quickly for us. Max crashed, making it not even a full round. But the Mousaka tasted delicious!

Have a great week! I do have to say that this post is not very interesting. Because of the fog in my head, prednison, I don’t seem to come up with anything fun or interesting and I am making a lot of faults typing this because I am very tired. I am very sorry. But that’s how it just is at the moment.

Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.

No worries! I always find your posts interesting. But I am sorry the prednisone makes you feel bad. The rare occasions that I have had it (for allergies) my response is that I relax. I’m backward from everyone else. Gerben’s cooking looks so delicious!

Oh really? That’s better. I stopped now and feel much better, not that down either.

What a bummer about the prednisone Nancy. It stinks that you are still dealing with the rash and the after effects.
Test driving cars sounds like fun and I love the BMW you tried out. Gerben is such a great cook – no wonder you enjoy entertaining!
    Take care sweet friend!

Haha, that’s what he always says when I invite people. You don’t have to cook!

I always enjoy our Tuesday posts! I hope the rash goes away soon. I know how you feel about bills: I just had to get my husband’s car towed to the shop. We were just talking how we only had one more car payment on it and boom, something is wrong with it! I had a flat too but the shop did the repair for free and thankfully we have a service called AAA that came and changed the flat for me. But yes, when you think you will not have an unexpected bill, one shows up! I also go a speeding ticket in the mail this weekend. I guess it all came in 3s for me! That moussaka looks delicious by the way!

Oh a speeding ticket! Mireille! That is a waist of money. I hate it when we get one but that rarely happens.

Love that car! I bet it’s fun to test drive and see what you like. I usually just have my husband pick out the car because I just don’t care all that much when I’m driving a mom mobile. I might care the first time I get to pick out a car after they’ve all moved out!

Haha, well I rather like cars and fast cars. But it’s fun to look and decide what we like.

The Prednisone sounds pretty horrible, and I’m totally getting that you don’t like having to go into the hospital for tests. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well.
I know what you mean about the unexpected costs! I do hope you find your wow car very soon. Are you going to go for that BMW? We are very pleased we bit the bullet when we did back in June, only if it’s just an ordinary Ford Fiesta!

Test-driving a BMW sounds like a fun thing to do. It is good to test drive as much cars as needed to decide what works for you. Going for a walk in a nature park is always a good idea. Have a nice day!

My husband got a permanent job (finally – after 6 months!) and is now looking for a car, as we’ve been carless for over 4 years. I told him he could get one once he got a job! He’s looking at Jaguars – something sporty to drive me in would be nice! I don’t drive, so it’ll be him driving me around. 🙂

I love seeing your old kitty, Teun. He looks happy on his bed.

A Jag!! That has always been my favorite car! The old X types! Congratulations to L!!

I am sorry you are having such a struggle with the rash and then the meds to treat the rash. And on top of that, car repair expenses. When it rains, it pours. Hope this is turning out to be a better week.

We had a very old BMW 5 series in Panama. The car looked great and ran pretty well, too. I love fast cars!! Have become too practical in my old age and really want one more fun, fast car with a convertible or sunroof before I kick the bucket! Good luck on your search.

Yes I love fast cars too and I love BMW’s and Mercedes. I don’t want to be practical yet! Lol.

Sorry to hear about the awful medication and hospital visits! The moussaka looked delicious, one of my favourites! Next year we getting rid of our 2 cars and getting a new one to share, so we will soon be starting test drives too. I would also like another Beamer.

Are you driving a BMW at the moment? It is a nice track to find out what kind a car you want and to test drive!

Nancy, I am so sorry that you have been suffering with this rash. I cannot take prednisone at all. Within 48-72 hours of starting it, it sends me into the worst mixed mania and depression complete with terrible suicidal ideations. I have all my medical charts now marked that I am allergic to it just so I don’t have to explain it every darn time. So I totally understand what an awful medication it can be! But I do hope it helped your rash and you were able to tolerate it long enough to get the desired effects. Gerben’s pizza looks amazing! And I hope you find the perfect car soon! Thanks for sharing and linking with me, my friend.

Oh really? Wow that is heavy. I always hated prednison but the dermatologist said it would be better. It was only 5 days and felt low after the second day! Awful.
