Black is my favorite color. Always has been and always will be. But green comes second! And I love a monochrome look, so today I overwhelm you with green, sage green that is. Sage green is such a gorgeous color, but to light for me to wear near my face. So when I saw this dark sage green pleated skirt, I knew I had to have it!
Sage green outfit
Well, I can’t wear every shade of green equally well, with some shades, like Kelly green, I look very pale. Like I said, sage green is to light for me but I can wear it as a bottom. Did I need another pleated skirt? Yes! I didn’t have a green one yet! I’ll tell you even more, another pleated skirt is coming soon! I didn’t have that color yet either, and then I’ll stop buying pleated skirts ….. I think.
So I also found this soft sage green tee and although the colors don’t stand out a lot from the pleated skirt, I really like them together. The tee is to light for me, but with a black leather jacket on it, it works well, or here with a denim jacket when my face has a sun teint. It will also look good with a darker scarf for a bit of contrast.
All is sage green
I am wearing very old earrings. These earrings are the perfect shades of green for me as earrings. If I wear other green earrings, for example a different color on each side, I see a clear difference in what the color does to your face. Give it a try, very nice to see how your face changes due to the right or wrong color. Also very old necklaces!
I knew that I wanted to wear green sneakers with this skirt, because sneakers are so cool under pleated skirts. And boots of course. And although white sneakers will look fabulous here, I wanted green ones. But many colored sneakers are very bulky and I usually don’t particularly like that. And I really liked the color of these ones! They aren’t sage green, more a olive green. Aren’t they just perfect!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!

I just love the sage green Nancy. It’s a color you don’t see quite as much and I bet it would pair with so many other colors….including black, LOL

Haha, of course it looks good with black!
So, so pretty! Sage green just relaxes me! Such a soothing color. I have a pleated skirt in burgundy, but I love it in the sage green… more of a lighter look, yet you bring in fall with all of the lovely layers! That waffle knit scarf is so pretty layered on top of the denim jacket.

Ooh, what a gorgeous colour that skirt is, Nancy! I love green in all its facets, even if the paler shades do not suit me either. My wardrobe could definitely do with a skirt like this! xxx

Yes I love all greens too, especially with blue!
I love all the shades of green in this outfit—they’re very soothing, and with the denim jacket, almost aquatic. Are you a Pisces by any chance? 😉

Thanks Cheryl, no I am a Virgo.
Give me all the green. Every shade. It is just such a beautiful color. You say that you can’t wear sage green close to your face – what a clever way to enjoy it by adding that great color in a skirt instead. I am going to do my colors through an online course and may discover I am wearing all the wrong colors but I am still going to embrace green. Just like you have.

But there are so many different shades of green Leslie, there is always a shade that suits you well!

I love sage green! Of all the greens, it’s my favorite! I don’t think I have much though…maybe some retail therapy is in store (pun intended)! Seriously, you look lovely in this…but, I would love to see it with the black leather! That would be fierce!
