Once again I have nothing more to show you then outfits and food! Another boring quiet week. Can’t go anywhere, or actually don’t want to go anywhere. The infections continue to increase here every day. The only thing I left home during the week is for working out. We only exercise with the three of us and there is good cleaning and distance, so that feels good.
*The featured photo is made at a Asian restaurant in Lyndhurst. When we went on a holiday with my father and his wife. Good times.
Today the rules are tightened up here in the Netherlands and we will hear that tonight. Many people are in favor of a lock down to be able to restart afterwards. I don’t know if it works like that. Nobody really knows anything. Except that they immediately locked things up in China and everyone there also listens to the rules and they can now continue. I heard they even have festivals again…..that should make us think….
Outfits and food, that’s my life at the moment
- This skirt is neopreen and that always wear so nice.
- The new sweater looked pretty good on it.
- Love my new skirt and khaki sweater.
- This was a surprising good looking outfit
So I’m sorry, but I just don’t have that much interesting to tell and I don’t have nice photos to show. Except for what I wore and ate last week. Haha, food again! Last week was the last episode of Downton Abbey. Oh what a beautiful series that was. I’m so sorry it’s over. And then I also thought of another series that I followed for years and years. As the world turns! Oh if they were going to repeat that! That would be so good! Did you watch that series? Like decades ago!
I did have a meeting on Thursday. That was nice, just to talk with people physically. It is a meeting of the social team working group in our village. It’s about social policy. The village I live in is a poor one, because of bad policy in my view. And we try to ensure that the municipality does not make bad decisions for the citizens. But of course they do when they haven’t got any money!
Some fresh air does wonders for your mind
- This is how Castor sits at our dining table when we eat! yeah, I know, but we love him so much….
- hasselbach potatoes and stewed pears with walnut and roquefort.
- We also ate stew with it. So delicious!!
Last Sunday we cycled for an hour to get away from it all. Being out in nature feels so good to get a bit of energy! It was only 11 degrees Celsius but the sun was shining and I was wearing my new winter coat! Nice and warm! I hope to get my new boots this week, white ones! Yes, I am curious if they suit me at all. I am also cleaning up my wardrobe and selling a lot of clothes. Is going pretty well, I have already sold about 10 articles!
This week I have to go to the dentist. At first I was a bit hesitant, but I received an email with all the measures they have taken and that sounds good. Well and I think that will be my only getaway this week! LOL. It’s a good thing I have a hobby! Hope to have more interesting things to write then outfits and food next week!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.

It is very challenging times for everyone everywhere and as long as we are trying to do out best, is what helps keeping us sane. Love your blue jumper/como outfit.

Yes, but a hole lot of people just do as they please. That is a problem. Thanks Anna!
Castor is too cute! I’m fine with food and outfits. Love the camo joggers and floral skirt.

He really is, and funny! Thanks Kathrine.
Castor looks like quite a character – a very cute one that is! I love cats. I made the bean burger recipe that you emailed me but I exchanged with lentils and they were totally delicious, so thank you 🙂

He is! Oh how nice, lentils instead of?
Lentils instead of chickpeas.

Oh, okay, sound like a good addition too!

Thanks!
I feel like our weeks are all very repetitive too! We are just at the point where everything is opened back up… but they’re talking about a resurgence in cases and another shut down… only time will tell I guess.

Yes, I wished we were 8 months further from now.
I feel like my life is so boring now too. But at least we are staying safe! Your cat is so funny! I absolutely love your camo joggers and blue sweater combo!

I agree Jill, that is the most important thing! To stay safe!
Ha, I’ve been wondering what to show on my blog too, now that the garden is on its last legs and we haven’t been able to go for walks due to the weather. So it will be mainly outfits from me, and no food, as I’m not in the habit of making photographs of what I’m about to eat 🙂 I’m not sure if a lockdown will work. I really hope there won’t be another one here. I could cope with it in Spring, but now … I confess I’m finding it hard to stay positive, and I’ve just about had it with all those rules, even if I know it’s for the best. Now, if everyone had kept to the basic rules, we probably wouldn’t be where we are now. Sorry, rant over. Those hasselback potatoes and stew look mouthwateringly delicious! xxx

No I agree with you. I am getting sick of all the people who say: Oh I’ll get over a mild flu…. Stupid people.
I was telling one of my friends that the dentist is probably one of the safest places you can be. We’d always incorporated sterile techniques….we just never told everyone about them. I’m glad you got outside…it does help so much.
XOXO

I agree, and they always wore masks and gloves anyway. But it’s the other patients I am worying about.
Outfits and food – keeps me happy! I know what you mean Nancy, I worry that my “Sentence a Day” posts are only about walks and trips to the gym! At least we can still do that in London at the moment. Thanks for linking at #WowOnWednesday.

Yes here too, but all the bars and restaurants are closed as of tonight. Pretty boring!
We haven’t been bike riding and I hope we can go in the next week or so. It is truly a great way to get away from it all. I love each of those looks.

It is, it is good to feel the wind through your head!
It’s okay for you to not have things to share – sometimes life is quiet! I like your outfits there – very cute! I used to wear camo pants with sweaters and classy shoes – I like that look (it’s a little rock & roll, as you and I both love).
Your cat Castor is so funny – the only place Vizzini is not allowed is the countertops and the table top where we eat.

That is wear he sits on the photo Sheila……..while we are eating……..and believe me, I am a very very clean person LOL.
Oh this virus just doesn’t know when to quit, does it? Stay safe! We are seeing increases here in the U.S., too. Thank you for sharing all of these delicious food photos, it is making me hungry!

Yes I saw it on the news this morning, pff will we ever get rid of it?
I am loving all your outfits this week, Nancy! The camo pants with the blue sweater look so great together! I have been following the covid news in your part of the world and I have a feeling the U.S. is not far behind on a second serious lockdown. They have been saying from the beginning that we should expect it to be this way for at least 2 years and I don’t think they were exaggerating. Hang in there, my friend. Stay safe and healthy!
