Satin or silky skirts are just as addictive as pleated skirts. When you bought your first one, you want them in every color. At least I do. Oh come on, I am sure you feel the same!
I think it is because they are so easy to wear. Whether you want to wear them sporty with sneakers and a t-shirt for the day, or relaxed with a tank top and a sandal. Or for a night out with a beautiful top and heels, you can really wear them for every occasion. And sometimes you just want skirts that sways around your body!
Silky skirt in any color
I wanted a brown silky one but couldn’t find it of course. I always have that, if I want something specific it is simply not available. Story of my fashion life. But when I saw this color I thought, it looks like a bit of gold, and I like that. I always love wearing these skirts. The feeling on your legs, no sticking or pinching. Yes, these are really very comfortable skirts. I’ll show you different ways of styling.
How to style a silky skirt
Here I wear a red one in a very summery way. I don’t like to wear these skirts elegantly because then I don’t think they are chic enough. So I always wear them casual. And here a bit thicker one with a sweater and over the knee boots. Here again with a sweater, but I find this outfit less successful. The brown skirt is thicker and the black skirt thin, which I don’t think is suitable for wearing with a heavy sweater. I want to wear the black one on a lace top with biker boots. But back to my new skirt.
I think this pre loved blouse looks as if it was made for this silky skirt! The colors match perfectly, I am a matchy matchy girl. I wanted to add a black blazer but it was to warm for that. Here I am wearing heels but the blouse is more casual, so I don’t mind wearing heels then. I know I will wear this satin skirt a lot, the color is perfect for fall too!

I don’ t have many silk items in my wardrobe, just one or two blouses, and a pre-loved dress I found the other week. No skirts yet, but I’m very tempted after seeing yours. What a gorgeous colour, and I love the blouse you paired it with. A fabulous outfit, Nancy! xxx

Thanks Ann, the blouse is fabulous. Also feels fabulous.

I love a good silky skirt any time of year, although they’re truly great in summer. I have them in two different colors and am considering a third!

This is a fabulous outfit Nancy, I love the colours. It has a bit of a 70s feel to it. I love silky skirts but I have to be careful as they can cling to the wrong placeson me! They look great on you though!

I had a gold satin bias-cut skirt just like that in the late 90s – I loved it, but they do show every bump and bulge, sadly. However, a big YES to slinky, swingy fabrics, and to matchy tops! You look fabulous in this, Nancy!
Thanks so much for the linkup!
