It could not sound more boring to me, plaid blouse and jeans. I mean, I picture in my head a lumberjack, jeans and some unflattering boots. But hey, this isn’t boring at all is it? It’s a plaid blouse with super statement puff sleeves and a bow!
And so it is suddenly December 23rd and we are on the eve of Christmas 2022. It feels a bit strange. The past two years have been a bit different than usual due to corona. I’m ready and yet I’m not.
Not spending Christmas in jeans and a plaid blouse!
Ready, because I have everything covered, I know what I’m going to wear, well let’s put it another way, I have plenty to choose from, I don’t host anything at home, so not much groceries to get in the house. Not ready, because suddenly another year has passed. A year in which I feel like I’ve been too busy with my health, because I had to, and too little with the people around me I love. I know it’s not really true, but it sure feels like it. That’s what Christmas does to you, that’s a bit melodramatic, isn’t it?
I’m going to enjoy it very much, being together, eating delicious food, having the time to just do nothing, getting dressed up. What I’m definitely not going to wear at Christmas is this outfit! Never never never will I wear jeans nor a plaid blouse for Christmas. But today it’s still allowed and so I’ll show you the second pair of jeans that I bought a while ago.
Is there anything more dull then jeans and a plaid blouse?
This is the slightly darker version of this one. With a modern version of a lumberjack blouse on it! Isn’t this just super pretty! Look at those sleeves. I really need to flatten them a bit or I’ll be like a rugby player. And a bow! I love it. The colours are a lovely babyblue with a bit burnt orange. I thought the blue ankle boots looked good with it, colourwise. I don’t particular like the cowboy-ish design with the jeans and plaid blouse, it is a bit to thought about for me, yeah really….
But another colour took away the attention of the plaid bow blouse and it felt fidgety to me. Tan boots wil work too, that’s for another moment. I am wearing clay burnt range earrings. They are so super light. It was really freezing hence the cap and sort of gloves.
