These months seem to fly by so fast! Another one has gone, this month our theme is: Our Handbags!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Our Handbags!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
While the fanny pack of the 80’s can be less than stylish, the belt bag of today is super trendy and very practical. I have two, a light tan suede one that is my go to for festival season, and a black pearl studded one for dressier occasions.
They provide a hands free way to hold my phone, money, and car keys. I just love them. Both are from Torrid and both are absolutely Good Buys!”

Great buy love this buffalo plaid bag
Our lovely blogger friend Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
Considering I don’t wear much black, I do love this black, moto leather jacket like purse!! It’s a copy from a designed, yet I bought it at the Vegas airport!! Thanks to my mom who saw it and picked it out for me.
And this is creative Kim of Fierce Fashion
My Good Buys are my Patricia Nash handbags! The crossbody (on the left) and over-the-shoulder styles get used frequently. They’ve each appeared on the blog numerous times. This winter, I’ve been using the over-the-shoulder one non-stop, as it’s easier to carry when wearing a heavier coat. The colors go with everything and pull together my outfits. It feels like I’m carrying little works of art!
This is Mireille of Chez Mireille
I love that this bag can be worn over the shoulder and crossbody which is really practical for running errands with kids. Also like that not to many people have a bag like this since it is from a local boutique. I have greatly reduced my collection of bags but these one is here to stay!”
And finally my Good Buy handbags
I bought this one about 16 years ago in the UK, at Dorothy Perkins in Strood. I loved it because of the memory to the UK of course and I liked the gold colored studs and the gold detail.
This is my new custom made leather bag! Picked it up just yesterday. I am going to tell you more about this bag in a another post!
April’s theme will be: Denim jackets!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
I love this post idea and the post itself. I’m going to mark it on the calendar for next month.

Yes do please! But you can already send us a photo!
So many pretty purses! Not only is Jodie’s purse very cool, I got a kick out of her story about where she purchased the bag. I’ve been in and out of that airport so many times.

So many great bags! I can’t wait to read about your new custom leather bag! And I am dying over Kim’s Patricia Nash bag. I love Patricia Nash but do not have any of my own. Definitely on my wish list though.
