Although I showed you my color analysis, and I am really working with it, I do like a monochrome black outfit every now and then. (black isn’t my best color….) And I can continue to wear black, but then I should actually add a bit more of a color. Yellow ocher or cognac. I didn’t do that with this outfit because these photos were taken a few months ago for The Thrifty Six. Before the color analyse!
I just love monochrome black
But although I do see that this outfit could use a brown scarf or statement gold necklace, for example, I still think it’s nice enough to share. It is a very pre loved outfit. The blazer, the dress and the shoes! I was looking for a new black blazer, because my old one was pretty worn out. But since I don’t often wear a black blazer, I searched the second-hand site for a good quality. I think this is a beautiful blazer because of its simplicity. No pockets, a single button, no frills. Simply chic. The wrap dress is of course a no brainer. I like wrap dresses. So feminine, and the v neckline is perfect for me.
Do you like monochrome outfits?
I love monochrome looks. Not only black ones. I of course wear, or wore, a lot of black monochrome. But also blue and green. If I wear a monochrome look, I always try to wear different textures to make it more interesting, or different shades of the color. That would be more ton sur ton, but for me it’s monochrome. I am now looking for the right shades of grey, in a dress and a long cardigan, to wear a monochrome grey look. Oh boy, will the hunger for fashion ever stop!

This is such a lovely monochrome black outfit! The little black dress is really cute on you! I had my colours done and so I know what “should” and “shouldn’t” work for me, but I still wear what I like every day! You have to wear what makes you happy I think! 🙂

That wrap dress is gorgeous, with its ton sur ton dots. I love how you layered it over those (faux) leather leggings, which is giving it a bit of an edge, as does that massive flower corsage. I’ve got a bit of a thing for flower corsages lately and have built up quite a collection over the years. Now I think I need a massive one too 🙂 xxx
