I was feeling a bit monochrome blue! In my outfit and mentaly.
Sometimes you can become completely melangolic when you hear a certain number on the radio. I recently had that when I heard Heart with Cracy on you. That number brought me back in decades. Not that it was a time I would like to think back to. My life only got good when I started a relationship with Gerben.
But I started to think that so much time had passed and that time goes so fast. Sometimes I just find it a bit scary. But a song like that makes you think back. To things that you would have wanted to do differently. How you felt then, what you then wanted from life, etc. Perhaps it is also because one of the people with whom I have rehabilitated, we still come together every year for dinner, has died. She was a very strong and tough woman and she will be missed. So I was a bit melangolic and it is a pity that the years pass so quickly. On the other hand, I am much older now than I ever thought I would become. So …… gone with those dark thoughts! Enjoy! Every day!
I love monochrome looks, especially blue ones
I have worn a monochrome blue outfit before, as you can see here. You may remember the boots from this outfit. I no longer have that sweater because it was so irritating. So I bought this one instead. I already had the pleated skirt. I love this look, the colors look great together. I will certainly wear it again this season, because I wanted to wear the pleated skirt with a sweater. And I love to wear monochrome looks.
I recently bought new blue ankle boots but also brought them back. The heel was too high. Such a shame, I like a high heel. But walking is already going so badly, and heels are totally tiring. If I go somewhere where I have to walk, I usually no longer wear heels. Which I think is a shame, I don’t like flat heels that much. Haha, this is not a very cheerful post I see. I apologize. I hope at least you like my outfit!

I think we need to have these melancholic moments from time to time to allow us to be happy the rest of the time! Wouldn’t you agree, Nancy? It can be difficult to accept how time passes so quickly but it also shows us how we must try and have as much joy as we can.
I also love to wear monochromatic styles every now and again and so I love your blue outfit! It’s a shame we can’t really wear heels any more, isn’t it? But they were never very comfortable were they? lol!!

Blue is a great color on you! It’s a very pretty outfit. I never where heels. They look great, but they hard on your feet, and makes walking more difficult. No man would put himself through the discomfort. LOL!

I think it’s the time for melancholy moods, as I often get them at this time of year. And yes, a song can really transport you back to earlier times. I have that a lot too, and it’s certainly another trigger for melancholy moods. That said, your blue monochrome outfit is a perfect mood lifter! xxx

I also suffer from fits of melancholy, Nancy – I think it’s somewhat natural. I’m so sorry about the loss of your friend. I recently found out that one of our dear friends has cancer – it really makes you take stock of your own life, and realize we have to live in the moment! Enjoy right now!
I love this pretty blue outfit – the pleated skirt is so nice on you. Sigh, when shoes become too high…I am dealing with a slight bunion, and it is painful. I have been moving more and more to flatter shoes.

I wore this look over the winter and it’s very feminine and cosy – the pleated skirt is sweet with that pretty jumper! I’m with you in the heels – I’m just not into flats .. but I do like walking around so what to do?
