A item that always returns when the leaves fall of the tree, is a knitted dress. As someone who is always cold, I think they are ideal, wonderfully warm and so easy to style. Although …. is that true? How to wear a knitted dress?
Styling a knitted dress in a different way
My first thought of how to wear a knitted dress is with tall boots! But because I always wear that on a knitted dress, I wanted to style it differently. I don’t want the same look every time I wear something. As if I only have a few pieces of clothing, or just one knitted dress. However, I already told you that I am selling a lot of my clothes. I have already sold 36 pieces! Isn’t that going well? But I found out that I don’t have a lot of dresses…..Okay….I’ll shut up….
But I wanted to wear different shoes with the dress, sneakers. Padded sneakers, and how comfortable these fit! Black thick tights underneath to let the black of the sneakers run through and thick panties because thin ones, 20, 30 denier, does not match a thick knitted dress. But then what more?
How to wear a knitted dress
At first I thought of a cardigan. But when I tried one on, I didn’t like it. Too dull. There had to be some tough guys in this look. (I am looking for a translation for the Dutch word,,stoer,, for years. Cool is the closest. But now the translation said tough guys, haha, I’d rather liked it!)
A leather jacket. Et voila, how to wear a knitted dress? With sneakers and a leather jacket. It’s not that I invented this look, it’s just that I never wore it like this! I wear statement gray earrings with it. Because these are so huge I don’t wear a necklace. The earrings are also super light! I wanted to wear a belt on this knitted dress, would have looked pretty good, a wide one. But my experience with a belt on a dress like this is that it really starts to pill and I think that’s a bit of a shame!

That looks great together!
I bought a knitted dress this year: I will have to try something similar with it! My first thought would have been like yours too: with boots.

Edgy and stylish! You nailed this look, Nancy! I wouldn’t add a belt or anything else. I have been looking for a knitted dress for a couple of months and so far unsuccessfully. I love your dress.

My pleasure Tina, thanks!
Your post reminds me of the fact that I used to have knitted dresses: a grey one and a very funky retro-style black and cream one. The truth is that I no longer have either of them as I was no longer wearing them. Too warm! Well, that’s when you get when the hot flushes hit π
I love how you styled yours with the sneakers instead of tall boots (which would have been fab too) and I think the leather jacket was the perfect choice! Have a great weekend, Nancy! xxx P.S. Well done on selling 36 items of clothing!

Thanks! I also have these hot flashes but they don’t last so long, only at night.
I love a good knitted dressβit’s like one big cozy sweater, which I also love when it’s so cold!
