I’ve always loved glittery gold. Not only in terms of jewellery, but also for clothing and especially shoes. With jewelry I think I started wearing gold around the age of 18. Read gold or gold plated. Silver doesn’t suit me at all because it’s too cool. My standard earrings, which I always wear, are gold and I always wear a gold necklace that I got from Gerben almost 30 years ago. Those are the real gold jewelry. And then I have tons of gold colored earrings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches. Yes, you can say I do love glittery gold.
And what about glittery gold in clothes?
I once had gold colored sneakers. (I’ll never forget that Gerben and I were walking in the gardens of Arundel castle, when two older ladies walked past us, one saying: smashing shoes darling!) And I have gold colored ankle boots. You have also seen my gold colored dress before.
And so now I can add this top to my glittery gold collection. Bought in a Vintage shop in Arnhem. I went there to look at a skirt with gold, that I saw online, but it turned out to be more beige. And then of course my magpie eye immediately saw this top. Wonderful! How was it possible that it was also my size! The brand is Cilo.
Never thought of wearing glittery gold and green together!
I think this glittery gold top looks great on this green skirt with a very dark green blazer. It’s a pitty that the blazer is such a dark green that you can hardly see that in the photo. I don’t like long sleeves at all, so I often look for jackets with this sleeve length. Of course I had to wear these ankle boots, first I thought it would be to much, but I love it. I added a small golden brooche that I bought at the same vintage shop and I belted the blazer.
Also wearing golden leaf earrings and a pre loved statement ring that I bought in Lewes a few years ago. And look at that lovely little bag! It’s a cat’s head in case you missed that! Such a funny detail. I love this look! Do you wear a lot of glittery gold?
I wish all my sweet lovely readers a very good New Year’s Eve and all the best for 2022! That it may be a fabulous year!
