Happy New Year 2022!

Happy New Year 2022

I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year 2022! May it be a year with good health first foremost for you and those you love. May it be a year in which we can go back to normal, go wherever we want. But above all, a year in which we can simply be happy.

It’s the year 2022!

Happy New Year 2022

The holidays have turned out a little differently for us (and for many many others of course) than I had in mind in the first place. I’ve told you before that I’m a planner, so Christmas, and where we go or who we invite, has been known to us for weeks, months actually. But yes, the lockdown threw a spanner in those plans again. That’s not to say we didn’t have a good time! We make something beautiful out of every situation.

Happy New Year 2022

We spent Christmas Day just the two of us. A long breakfast with Christmas bread of course and unwrapping the presents. On Boxing Day we had visitors and we had a lovely meal, chatted and above all enjoyed ourselves. And New Years Eve the two of us stayed at home. All tasty snacks on the table, uncork the bottle of champagne at 12 and toast to a beautiful New Year 2022. To be honest, I don’t like New Years at all. It’s just another date I think, but okay, I’m just fine with it, lol. I hope you all had a great time and I wish you a Happy New Year 2022.

Happy New Year, Nancy! My only wish is that 2022 will be easier and the virus will finally be under control. I so want to go back to normal, and that includes not having to test oneself whenever we want to see someone. To be honest, I’d rather not see anyone at all.
That said, we spent both Christmas and New Year’s Eve with just the two of us. I’m not a fan of New Year either. You’re right, it’s just another day. The upside is that we hardly saw a soul when we went for a walk this morning. I think everyone else was either still in bed or nursing a hangover 🙂 xxx

Happy New Year, Nancy! Your wishes for the next year are perfect. Let’s hope for a return to some kind of normal living! Perhaps this virus will leave just as the Spanish Flu supposedly did. Both of the skirts you wore are wonderful! I am not a fan of New Year’s either. It seems like such a big deal for naught.

Happy 2022 to you two, Nancy! No lockdown here, but had guests coming for Christmas from Kansas – a two day drive – and we mutually agreed to cancel them. None of us are spring chickens, and in spite of being fully vaccinated and boostered, none of us want to risk getting sick…. I started painting my living room walls on Christmas Day. LOL!

Beautiful Nancy, the first photo is one of my very favorite of you. Love that you are sitting quietly with your pup, in a casually stylish outfit. You are quietly beautiful. And no one can style and wear a tulle skirt better than you. Love your new year’s look.

You are always so animated and full of life, but I love seeing you sitting serenely in front of the tree. May 2022 bring you excellent health and much happiness.

Happy New Year Nancy. Christmas looked very cosy. Was the same here. Thanks for a glimpse of the tree, all red. Not sure, if I have ever seen one in red before.

We also love tuna, sort of similar in a spicy sauce.

Here is to more blogging fun in 2022! xo Sabina

I know how it feels to have a spanner in your Christmas plans. I’m glad the two of you had a lovely time in spite of it. Here’s to a better 2022!
