Get my Nails done & Throwback Tuesday #37

get my nails done

The weekends together are the highlight of every week, but get my nails done was fabulous too! And it felt good to go out! Even if it is only to the nail salon, but it feels like ,normal, life is just around the corner. Which isn’t really.

Had to pay for all my activities

What a bad week the past week was.  In Last weeks Throwback Tuesday  I proudly told you how much I had cycled in addition to exercising. And that I was not bothered by anything. Well, this week I had to pay for it. What a pain in my body all week. Way too much done and I really have to pay the price for that. I did work out at the physiotherapist, but it took a lot of effort. And I was so very tired too. But the worst was the pain in my body and especially the shoulder blades, that comes from the lungs.

Tuesday afternoon Denise came by, the weather was really nice for cycling, but I had already been exercising in the morning so that didn’t seem like a good idea. So we sat in the sun and it was really nice and warm. Denise had brought a bar of chocolate and we enjoyed that with a cup of tea. The rest of the week I really took it easy because I really didn’t feel good. The first days of the week I also took painkillers, but luckily after a few days that was no longer necessary.

Get my nails done

Saturday it was finally time to go to the nail stylist again after 4 months or so. Fantastic, finally well-groomed painted nails, I love it. In the evening we held a relaxed Saturday evening with nice television programs and tasty snacks. Sunday we went for a walk and I was finally able to drive the car again. We have not driven that much yet because you have nowhere to go anyway. And if we want to get out during the weekend, we often choose to cycle a bit in a quiet area close to our home.

In the evening we made all kinds of tapas and ate way too much! But it was all so good! We had chicken that I marinated first. Zucchini with mon chou, salmon wraps, sandwiches with old cheese tapenade, melon with parmaham and meatballs in tomato sauce. And a bottle of delicious white wine. On to a new week with ….. a hairdressing appointment! Oh if I’m looking forward to something, this is!

Have a great week!

Sorry to hear you were in pain this week but it sounds like a nice relaxing week otherwise; it’s always a treat to get a manicure and share some chocolates with friends.

I am so sorry that you were in so much pain after all of that exercise. I hope that you are feeling better now! 🙂 All of that food looks delicious, and that is a sweet photo of you and Gerben. I hope that your week is off to a good start too. XO, Caroline

I love seeing Gerben’s face here. My hubby and the oldest are the same about getting their pictures taken and published somewhere. I am sorry about the pain and don’t overdo it again! Tapas sound lovely! Last time I ate some was in Spain summer 2019!

So sorry to hear you were in so much pain, Nancy. I do hope it is getting better by now. Castor truly looks like a dictator – as did our late Phoebe! I’m glad you were able to have your nails done and that a hairdresser’s appointment is on the horizon. As always, your food looks truly scrumptious! And it’s nice to see Gerben’s face. Now he’s no longer just a name! xxx

Oof, sorry to hear that you were in pain after exercising! That’s the worst because it makes it so much harder to get back in the groove. Glad you had a relaxing weekend to make up for it!

Your nails look lovely! I’m so sorry you had to pay for the cycling. I know what that’s like to go beyond what your body can really tolerate. The problem is, sometimes you don’t realize it at the time. I’m glad you have recovered.

Indeed, you only feel it days after! That’s stupid isn’t it!

Oh no, sorry to hear that you were in such pain following your exertions, Nancy! I’m glad you are feeling better! Your nails look beautiful. I have only had my nails done twice professionally and I do not enjoy it – I’m not a touchy person, so I really dislike someone touching my hands – don’t even get me started on pedicures (ugh). I’ll do my own!

Love seeing Gerben! I used to have to hide L’s face in my posts – after all these years, he’s finally relented and lets me show him (although I still don’t use his name). Hello, Castor!

Haha, Gerben said: why did you use that photo! I look so old. I said: Yes that is life babe! LOL.

I hope you’re feeling better. Sometimes it is hard to know our boundaries when it comes to exercise. For me it can be difficult as well. I hope you find a good balance soon. Have a great day!

Yes and I learnt how to but I keep on crossing those boundaries. But thanks!

Nancy, tell Gerben that I loved seeing him here! It is so good to put a face to his personality! I hope you are fully recovered from the exercise pains. That food looks amazing! I want some tapas that I can eat too much of! Thanks for linking.

    HI Nancy
I bet that felt good to get your nails done and they look lovely! I cant have mine too long as I play guitar. Love those platform sneakers. I am sorry to hear that you are in pain from your latest biking excursion. I know what that is like as far as if I work my muscles to hard, take care! I enjoy seeing your days activities and the pizza looked yummy.
