And thinking outside the box with a pop of color! Well, I can do that. As I love color combinations that are a bit different! I don’t wear it that much but sometimes I am just in the mood for a good Pop of color!
Stylish Monday is created out of a Facebook group of Life and Style bloggers. Every month we interpret a theme in our own way, fashionable wise of course. It’s a fun way to be creative with clothing and accessories. And to see how other women interpret a theme chosen by someone else. It is a fabulous fashionable way to create something beautiful with other bloggers.
Pop of color and thinking outside the box
I love lilac! But the color doesn’t look good on me when I wear it in my face. This skirt was actually a bit to tight and I sold it. I also wore it this way. But the color and the fabric, it looked a bit like tweed, were fabulous. I like to wear lilac with purple, or with pink , or like here with orange. I am on the hunt for a new, or pre loved, lilac skirt! One that fits!
Lets take a look at the outfits of my fashion friends
Andy of Pearls and Pantsuits
Like most of my Stylish Monday sisters, I LOVE color and am not ashamed to wear it, and just adding a pop of color to an otherwise neutral palette is a fun little trick to add to your repertoire if you’re not comfortable with wearing too much color. Pop on over to my blog for a peek at today’s outfit, and more style tip for adding pops of color to your wardrobe.
Amy of Amy’s Creative Pursuits
What’s better to wear for a color challenge than a “Colorblock Sweater”? I added even more pop of color with a bright bag!
Julie of Fashion Trends and Friends
Color makes me happy, especially bold bright color! However, today I’m sharing how you can easily add touches of color to pop an otherwise monochromatic look if color isn’t your thing! What color would you pair with gray? Stop by my blog to see the colors I added to one outfit!
Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
Green is my forever favorite color and the month of March really makes me want to wear all of the green things as I impatiently await the arrival of Spring. This outfit has a few more layers to beat the Winter chill and another print to create extra interest. Won’t you stop by to see more of this outfit and how it came to be!

My neon pink cardigan was thrifted, and are styled with Camo joggers. I paired the outfit with a zebra print tote.

Seven months of snow means white and black everywhere. Occasionally, a hint of yellow. The sky is either dark with white pin dots and green stripes, gray with white polka dots, pink or orange, or steel blue (my favorite). Not much color. Thus, in the cold season you have hunger for color. So even though red adds a lot of weight (not actually, but it gives the illusion of being heavy), it’s one of my weapons to fight the winter blues.
Emma of The Style Splash
I adore bright colours, especially orange! Wearing bright orange always makes me feel happy, energetic and optimistic. I’m a big believer in colour therapy!
Nina of Sharing a Journey
We rightly think a pop of color on a neutral background adds interest, drama and elevates an outfit. Well today I’m the pop of color. I just couldn’t resist a bright spring dress to blast us out of the doldrums!
Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood
Green is one of my favorite bright colors, especially Kelly Green. It’s also one of the most popular Pantone Colors of 2021. I wore this cute outfit today on a 47° sunny day (it felt warmer than that) and my beautiful daughter took these photos. I decided to pair this Kelly Green Eyelet Blouse by J. Crew with these Olive Green Skinny Jeans by Old Navy. Even my net socks are green (and black). They look great under the peep-toe booties.
Pop of color that makes you happy, doesn’t it!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!

Thanks Laurie! Happy National Women’s Day!
I just love the colors on your cardigan so much – reminds me a bit of tie dye but in such a sophisticated way and so perfect for spring. I hope it warms up soon and you can wear this again without freezing! Thanks for the link up Nancy!
Yes it does look like tie dye. Oh I hope so too! Thanks Kellyann!

Your sweater is gorgeous, and it looks great with that skirt.
I actually like your pop of color outfit, and the skirt! I don’t think it looks too tight at all. The texture is a really nice touch too. This was a fun theme, and as always, I really enjoy our collaborations!
Yes me too! It is such a lovely supportive group!
I LOVE your outfit so much! It is perfect for spring!! Have a great day! XO, Caroline
Thank you very much Caroline!
Thank you so much for the link-party, Nancy! Ha, of course, my recent outfits don’t have much colour in them! Isn’t that always the way?
I love seeing everyone’s bright pops of colour – colour therapy for sure! Love your lilac and orange (such a great combo), and all the other bright pops in bags and shoes. Emma’s sweater is filling me with delight!
What a amazing sweater is that right! And she wears it with such flair!
All those pops of colour totally cheered me up, Nancy! I absolutely love your colourful top, and I do keep my fingers crossed for you finding the perfect lilac skirt! xxx
Thanks Ann! I did buy a lovely lilac pre loved top!
These colours are so right for you, Nancy. You truly look fabulous, love the bandana a lot and I am a big fan of white pencil skirts. Great outfit
Haha, Jodie also thought it was white, but the skirt is lilac!
Gosh, I love that skirt Nancy. It’s funny because on IG, I thought the skirt was white. It’s such a beautiful light lilac!!! (So you probably thought I was crazy for my comment, haha)
Haha, I did! I looked back and thought, what white does she mean! lol.
I love that sweater!! What pretty spring colors.
Thanks, what a joy to wear these colors!
love love love how you paired lilac and orange together! And your sweater brings it all together beautifully!
Thank you very much Suzanne!
Your colourful gradient outfit is so pretty, like a warm spring sunset! And that cute lilac bandana is the best x
I liked that bandana too! I’m sure I will use it this summer again!
I really love how the colors work together! Unexpected but very pretty.
Gosh, your pops of sunset colors are so pretty. Can’t get over the variety of climates/weather in the photos. Nina looks like a darling southern belle in summer sitting on the porch in her breezy dress. And then Shelbee’s pretty green is such contrast to the snow all around her. Fun photos and theme.
Thank you very much Leslie!
