Oh what a fun things in life to do this year. And I already wished it was spring! The new year is already weeks old and many great events and holidays have been booked. We will visit Rye again in April! And in September and perhaps November or December too!
*By the way, what also are fun things, is to meet some UK bloggers. So …. if you are able in September and enjoy having afternoon tea with me and hopefully with more bloggers in Sussex, Brighton, let me know! I would love to meet you!
Fun things in life like holidays!
But we go with six of us now, in April! My father and his wife, and my sister and her partner are coming along. How nice is that! All together in a van. We can show them the most beautiful places in Sussex! I am so looking forward to it. Everything has already been booked, I am really a planner.
In July we will go to Bospop again with Celina and Paul and two others. That is a three day music festival in the Netherlands. But the night before we go to see Iron Maiden on the same festival field. So that means enjoying music for four days. The hotel and the cottage have already been booked.
And last year I started a lung point with a number of other ladies. This year we organize 4 meetings to inform and connect people with a lung disease through guest speakers. March the 4th is the first meeting and we find it very exciting! But also very nice to be able to do.
So all good things to look forward to. And of course we go out for dinner a lot, and organize dinner parties for friends and family. And we went with Celina and Paul to an afternoon in the theater with master pastry chef Robèrt van Beckhoven. And so there will be many more fun things to come over the year! Already looking forward to it!
What are in your life the fun things you are looking forward too?
Style Steal with silk skirt and knitted cable sweater
Today I show you a style steal. I showed it on the anniversary of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. What fun it was to do that theme! So nice to see how all the ladies were inspired by another blogger! I am wearing this silk skirt, that actually was a bad buy because I am not sure I actually like the color. But I wear it with a warm sweater and a owl brooch and a charm bracelet.

Nancy, I am so glad you have fun things planned this year – I know how much you love Rye! I love this skirt on you – it seems to move so well and looks so soft and silky! It is great paired with the sweater too. So happy to see you liked my dress from last week – such a pleasant surprise!
Have a great weekend my friend!

AMAZING SKIRT COLOR
Hooray for fun things. I am also planning some fun things, like white water rafting. I’d love to meet up in Sept – just need a bit of notice if I need to take a day off work.
Yep. Give some notice Nancy and I will book an overnight stay. It would be lovely to meet up xx
I am in love with this cozy elegant look! The skirt looks amazing with this sweater. Spring break is coming soon at our house and we are headed to Florida. Yay for sun! Wish I lived in Europe to meet you. 🙂

Jill – Doused in Pink
Nancy, I love the color of this skirt and it looks great with the ivory sweater and white boots. I would wear this in a heartbeat! And I am super jealous that you are getting to go for 4 days of live music with a big group of people! You know I always travel alone, but then I make lots of friends once I get to the festivals! I cannot wait to hear about your festival weekend. And how great that you were able to start a lung group.

Your skirt reminds me of a satin waistcoat I had around 1983 in exactly the same colour – I think it is called ‘oyster’. It looks fabulous on you! Not a bad buy by any means 🙂
Wow, you already have quite a lot going on for this coming year! It sounds so fun and exciting! I love the color of your skirt and think this is a lovely outfit. We need to get our house sold before we can think too much further ahead. However, my daughter is buying us concert tickets today for September!
Oh! I love that skirt! It is so gorgeous! And you styled it beautifully with the sweater and booties.
Such a great look! Loving the sweater and the owl pin is so cute and beautiful!

I ADORE this look! Love the satin midi skirt, the color is gorgeous! I am adding an off white sweater to my warbrobe for next year and yours is beautiful! You know I love the touch of your pretty brooch! The music festival sounds like a blast, I never went to one that lasts for days. I saw Iron Maiden many years ago – I love heavy rock too!

It’s always good to have a couple of fun things planned, so that you can look forward to them. We already have three holidays planned, though only one of them in the UK, which will be in June. Meeting other bloggers is fun, isn’t it? So is showing your family your favourite Sussex haunts! Oh, and I’m loving your outfit! The cable knit jumper and silk skirt offer such a nice contrast. And of course my eyes immediately zoomed in to your lovely owl brooch! xxx
Nancy, I really love that outfit! I think I’ll do a style steal from you and try it with my green satin skirt!! It sounds like such fun that you are planning. And good for you for joining people together to talk about and deal with their lung disease. You are an inspiration! I’m looking forward to two trips this spring/summer. My son and I are going to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands in May and we’re are taking a cruise in Spain and Portugal in July. I’m so excited!

Looks like you’re going to have fun in your future. I LOVE your outfit here (especially the skirt). Great combination with the warm sweater. The broach touch is such a nice one. I have bunches of cute ones that I haven’t worn in years. May have to start doing that. Thanks for sharing.

What a lot of fun events you have planned, Nancy! As for us, we have a trip to Austin, Texas for MotoGP planned for the first weekend in April (although the event may be canceled due to Corona virus). Later in April we will be taking a motorcycle trip to Yosemite. In May, we will attend a flat track motorcycle race in southern, CA, and over the Memorial holiday weekend a 3 day music festival.
Also? Your outfit is lovely!
