I love an androgynous look. Every now and then I wear a bit of a androgynous look by adding a tie to my outfit. The most easiest way to make a look a bit more androgynous. I don’t like to wear blouses that much. I often find it a bit stiff looking on me. That’s why I don’t wear the cuffs closed, I don’t like that at all. Never do when I wear a blouse. Here I wore a tie with a sweater and trousers.
Wearing a tie on a feminine blouse
This silk blouse has a nice lipstick print. It was actually quite warm when I was wearing this, too warm for a leather skirt, faux leather, but I wasn’t going to let that put me off. I wanted to wear this skirt! And I wanted to wear a tie! As a 16 year old I used to wear blouses more often because even then I liked to wear ties all the time, for a while. I stayed quite true to my style, rather taste, I don’t think I have a style.
How to feminine a androgynous style
Well of course by wearing a skirt instead of trousers. And a fun printed blouse like this lipstick print one. But wearing a tie doesn’t need a printed blouse necessarily of course. And I added a bit of color, not to much, but just to make the look less cool. If I wanted cool, I would wear my laced up ankle boots and skip the small belts and wore only gold colored jewelry.
I wear small coral red earrings, the color of the lipsticks. My favorite statement ring, and two orange bow straps to add some color and keep the outfit a bit airy. Otherwise I thought this look was a bit too strict. A whip would then only be missing …. The sandals are very old and I like them so much. They have a bit of a clog heel and a few studs and actually run very well. And now I am going to sit in my garden and enjoy the sun….and sweat a bit in my skirt!

Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
Very much my cup of tea, Nancy!! LOVE. That tie with the leather pencil skirt just make it so Marlene Dietrich of the 21st century.

I love adding a traditionally masculine item, like a tie or a vest, to an outfit. I adore this look on you, Nancy – the pops of orange/coral are awesome.
