Today I have 11 sweater styles for you from the fashionable ladies of Stylish Monday!
Stylish Monday is created out of a Facebook group of Life and Style bloggers. Every month we interpret a theme in our own way, fashionable wise of course. It’s a fun way to be creative with clothing and accessories. And to see how other women interpret a theme chosen by someone else. It is a fabulous fashionable way to create something beautiful with other bloggers.
Fall has arrived and it’s time to wear warm cozy sweaters again! I love that. I am a person who gets cold so easy and I hate that. So I love to wear sweaters and cardigans. I do love sweaters with a col, but that doesn’t look good on me at all. A V-neck is better. But also a lot colder. We suffer for the sake of fashion!

These are just a few that I liked a lot but don’t have anymore. Just worn out! But I will share a lot of lovely sweaters with you in the next months! And now take a look at how my fashion friends wear sweaters!
11 sweater styles
Sweater season in Illinois lasts from potentially September through March and sometimes into April. (Last year, we got snow on Halloween!). If you did the math, that’s half a year at the least and possibly a full seven months. Therefore, this midwest girl loves her sweaters of all colors, styles and of course fun, unique and embellished sweaters are even better in my book!
I first saw this sweater on IG and loved how it was styled plus the fact that it says Rock and Love. Hope you take a minute to read my blog and see all the ways it can be worn and styled both in warmer climates as well as when it gets colder.
I won this tunic sweater from Bonmarche in a Christmas giveaway on Instagram a couple of years ago. The length gives me the option of wearing it as a dress with thick tights and long boots as I’ve done here, or over black skinny jeans and ankle boots when it’s colder.
Out here in California, the weather has her own idea of what fall looks like. With cold mornings to very high afternoon temperatures; our Autumn weather tends to be a bit manic, making my go-to knit something I can throw on and off with ease in the form of a cardigan or sweater vest. Layered over anything from jeans and a t-shirt, to a transitional sundress, either of these California wardrobe staples allows me to enjoy the look of “fall”, despite our Indian Summer weather.
Ponchos are such a fun and easy way to add a light layer to an outfit. This plaid one has been one of my wardrobe staples for years. I love the plaid pattern and autumnal colors. I can’t wait to pull it out each fall!
I saw this red cashmere sweater in a consignment store. It was my size, color and the price was right. So I gave it a new home in my closet despite I already had two other red cashmere sweaters. However, they have a turtle and crew neck, respectively. Thus, a V-neck was different enough. And, for my excuse, one can never have too many neutrals, right?
Cozy sweaters and cardigans make styling fall outfits so much fun.
A colorblocked pink and fuchsia sweater is perfect for October particularly, because Pink raises awareness for Breast Cancer Month. This happy, bright piece is a new find from Target as are those new leopard pants (wish I had sized down in them, they have a hidden elastic band). Throw in a pumpkin, and I am ready for Fall with all of my sweaters!
I found this cute fox sweater at JCPenney a few years ago and I have never shared it on my blog before. I love the fun geometric graphic of the fox. Foxes are my favorite animal so I added my little rose gold fox necklace, too. This sweater is perfect for the beginning of sweater weather because it is a lighter weight knit and has 3/4 sleeves. I can even comfortably pair this sweater with shorts for a cute transitional look.
I hope you got some inspiration from these 11 sweater styles!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
Such a fun theme! Lots of great outfits. You know, I don’t even own a sweater. LOL!

I love your classic style Nancy. I always enjoy seeing what you’ll be styling each month…it’s interesting to see just a little slice of your life in The Netherlands. So glad you’re a part of our sisterhood!

Oh thank you so much! You just lifted my day!
Your cable knit sweater! So chic! Love that outfit the most. You have quite a sweater collection! Well, the wet, humid winters in the Netherlands require them to stay warm. I actually prefer 40 below than the West European winters. LOL.

Haha, that sounds really horrible to me Nicole! Thanks!

Yes, I love that one too, a bit punk 2.0
I’ve hardly worn jumpers for years due to the hot flashes, and while they’re still ongoing even though I am past the menopause, I still only wear light jumpers unless it’s really freezing! I love both your cable-knit and striped jumpers and I’m looking forward to seeing more over the winter months! xxx

Oh I wish I wasn’t always that cold! But on the other hand, there are a lot of beautiful jumpers out there, so it isn’t that bad.
I’m with you…I get cold so easily, which is why I love living in AZ!!
I love sweaters which is why I started knitting, LOL

But now you don’t have to wear them! I would love to live there too!
I agree that we women suffer for fashion often, especially style bloggers lol. In love with that cozy blush pink colorblocked knit scarf which pairs so well with the olive sweater. That black cableknit sweater is a classic and I love the multi-colored striped crewneck sweater, similar to mine that I styled for this collab, but a more fitted style! =))
Hope you will enjoy my sweater post too, dear Nancy, my friend. Join my weekly Thursday Moda linkup, too. Have a great rest of the week! =)

Thanks Suzanne, we always have fun with this collaboration right!
I bought several sweaters when they were on major sale this summer so I have some pretty ones to wear once the weather cools off enough! I like how sweater can be one and done and work with skirt, dresses, pants and everything in between!
