I do like pinstripe joggers, I don’t like plain trousers, but I do appreciate joggers. But then worn in a bit of a dressier way. With a jacket and a heel. Although I have to say that I have worn these joggers a lot on the bicycle too, with sneakers.
Pinstripe joggers, sporty or stylish?
When I go cycling I prefer to wear trousers because it is easier. My girlfriend has already had a skirt between the spokes twice and that is not going to happen to me! These joggers have a pinstripe so I think they are a bit more dressier anyway. I think more sporty joggers with sneakers often look nice on others. With a nice coarse cardigan over it. Can you picture it in gray and pink? Love that, on others.
I wanted to wear these pinstripe joggers with fall colors. I have always found blue and brown a very nice color combination. When I was about 12,13 years old, yes it is a very long time ago, but I do remember, you had these color combinations that you should never wear. Like pink and red, blue and green, and brown and blue. (talking about green, Liz her post today is about green!) Whoever made that up was really stupid. Those are the best color combinations!
How I like to wear pinstripe joggers
I am wearing the pinstripe joggers with a brown dotted blouse from last year and a brown pre loved blazer with good shoulder pads. Shoulder pads are a trend this fall. You see them in sweaters a lot too. I like them, Jean Paul Gaultier isch! I am wearing sandals as long as I can because I hate socks. And some ochre statement earrings. I saw this bracelet and had to have it. Gold and brown, and check the chuncky closure. Love it!

I do wear a skirt on the bicycle when it is really warm. But a tight one so that it can’t blow up!
I love that outfit, Nancy! Yeah, people make up some strange “rules.” I’m the same way about not wearing white after Labor Day (1st Monday in September). Snow is white. I’ll darn we’ll wear white if I want to. 😀

I’m not a lover of joggers as outdoor wear as a rule but I really like these Nancy. The sophisticated jogger! xx

I know what you mean. I would never wear these in a casual way other then for working out! Thanks Laurie!
I love this fall look you put together! The color palette is wonderful and the pieces together are so flattering. Thanks for the link up!

I wear blue and green together all the time! That is one of my favorite color combos. The pinstripe joggers are so cute and really don’t even look like jogging pants in most of these photos. I didn’t have any fashion posts at all this week since I’m hanging out in bed in my pj’s and lounge wear but I did link up my sentence a day post from last month.

But you can linkup whatever you want my dear! I hope you are feeling much better !
Love how you dressed up these joggers with a cute blazer! And the blazer color is soooo perfect for fall!

I’m a huge fan of joggers and the pinstripes really dress them up! I’m with you…definitely not skirts while bicycling…lol! Have a fabulous weekend!

I’ve never seen pinstripe joggers before, what a fun combination of styles! 🙂 I agree with you that blue and brown can look great together – I am not sure why we followed those silly rules! I love blue and green together too!
Thanks for the link up 🙂
Hope that you have a great weekend ahead of you! 🙂

I finally got my first pair of joggers after seeing all you lovely women wearing them!
I like the idea that you can dress them up or down!
Only Mary Poppins wears a skirt riding a bicycle!

Haha, I do wear a skirt sometimes riding a bicycle! It can be done! Lol. Thanks Robin! Have a great weekend.
Nancy, this outfit is gorgeous! I love navy blue and shades of brown together. It such a beautiful autumnal color combination. These pants are so cool. I just found two pairs of wool joggers during my recent clothing clean out that I can’t wait to wear this fall and winter. None are pinstriped though. Boo. I really like the pinstripes! Have a fabulous weekend, my friend.

Yes! I was cleaning out bins and bags of clothing that I dumped in my basement and found two pairs of wool joggers that I had forgotten about! It’s like free shopping when that happens!

I don’t think either! You look fab in culottes!
Nancy, this is one of my favorite types of outfits: casual with polished. I never would have known that those were joggers—they’re so chic!

And you always wear that style very well! Thanks Cheryl!
I never ever wear joggers, and do not even own a pair. Your pinstriped joggers, however, look quite chic, and not like ordinary joggers at all. I love how you’ve dressed them up, and yes, whoever invented these colour rules wasn’t the brightest button in the box. Green and blue, for example, are just made for each other! Loving the jacket and the bracelet in particular here! xxx

Thanks Ann! And red and pink is also such a fantastic combination!
Nancy, it is funny all the different color combinations that used to be taboo and now they are perfectly acceptable. I love pairing any color with any other color. It is just so much fun and it gives us so many more options for outfits from our closets. I love this outfit, Nancy. You look very chic and stylish and you would never know that they are joggers. Well done. Have a lovely weekend! – Amy

Nancy, those are the cutest joggers! I can see how easily you can dress them up or down. I agree that whoever made those crazy fashion “rules” was totally wrong. The combination of navy and brown really works!! Happy weekend.

Thank you very much Laura, H&M always has them!
I do agree the pinstripe does dress the joggers up, for me not so sure about the dress up joggers trend, each to their own. Those silly rules have hopefully long gone. Many thanks for hosting Nancy, enjoy your weekend.

Thank you very much Penny, have a great weekend !
Wore my black joggers yesterday and my hubs asked me what kind of pants they were – pants or workout wear. Ha!! I had to say BOTH. Your joggers are really special with the great pinstripe that kicks them up a notch. Great look paired with the print blouse and blazer. Love Gail’s look, too. Such fabulous tights/hose.

Phew! I just made it in the nick of time before your link-party closes. Thank you so much, Nancy -I always spot so many interesting people in it!
I have one pair of olive green satin joggers, but they are not my favourite style of pant – I find that being short (I am 5’4″) they make my legs look even shorter. I really like your styling here – I am a big Gaultier fan and I love a defined shoulder!
Author
Yes me too! I was already a fan in the 80s! He is unique!
Such a fun look Nancy! I love these joggers as well a this combination!
