Today I’m wearing satin trousers with gold. But to be honest, I liked the black heeled sandals I wore underneath a few days before better. We are already four weeks back from vacation and I am ready for another few weeks. My father has been hospitalized three times in september. The second time during our trip in our own country, which we could cancel while we were there. Fortunately, we were able to continue our trip to England with my sister and brother-in-law and we thoroughly enjoyed 5 days of Rye. We’ve been to Brighton, Canterbury and Hever castle and we were even lucky with the weather! But too short to recover from a pretty tough half year. So Gerben and I hope to take some nice weekends away in the autumn.
Satin baggy trousers
Have you already gone shopping? Have you seen anything beautiful from the fall collection yet? I haven’t. I still don’t get used to the cooler temps. In my head it is still summer and warm. And so I dress to that. And then when I go outside, it hits me! It’s cold outside!
I had already bought these satin trousers in August. I actually had a completely different shirt in mind with it to show you, a black and white striped one, but it now has a stain from the tomatoes of the English breakfasts! That’s what you get when you are to greedy. I blame my wonderfull b&b hosts, they cook a great breakfast!
Super soft and light satin trousers
I really like these satin trousers. But I think I like it better with a wool sweater on it. And black ankle boots. And without a belt, because it creeps up, I see in the photos. A top with spaghetti straps would also have looked better. But to be honest, I thought it was too cold for that. These satin trousers are from Zara, I ordered them a size larger because my own size was too small. But now it is a bit baggy around the legs. I don’t mind, I like these satin trousers a bit baggy. The golden ankle boots are a few years old and you’ve seen them before, but I still like them. They are now very trendy, golden boots. And I think I’m going to look into what I would like to have from the fall collection. Or should I clean out my closets first? Is that wiser? Rhetorical…..

😂I’m feeling just like you right now. I’m wearing summer dresses, autumn hasn’t arrived in my head yet. I’m freezing outside, but with dignity.🤭 Maybe that will change today, I’m going to Pinkfriday shopping with Sarah in the afternoon.
You look great Nancy. The pants are great. Too bad your vacation was short.
Ah that’s lovey that you go shopping. Perhaps you get into the fall mode then! Have a great afternoon!
It’s a painful process moving over to autumn clothes! I love this look and in particular the gold boots.
It is! I love the summer so much! Thanks, that’s the best thing about fall, wearing boots again.
Your signature look ,Nancy! I know how much you love all black and you wear it so well.I love the satin trousers!
Oh thank you, yes I feel most comfortable in black!
Those satin trousers are gorgeous and I love the blouse you paired it with as well as the gold boots!
Had to giggle at the tomato stains …
I have actually bought something new on the high street (yellow wool skirt from Uniqlo/Ines de la Fressange collab) and yes, I am ready for another holiday too! xxx
Oh that is rare for you! Looking forward to see it. ouldn’t you just love to be in the UK right now! Strolling near the sea, the wind through your hair! And then warm up in a pub!
Oooh Nancy, this is a really cool outfit. I really like the satin jogger pants, too! And the golden boots are so good! I was just looking through my vast shoe collection yesterday and wondering if I should ditch most of my skinny heeled shoes and boots. I very rarely wear them and I am all about flat shoes and comfort right now. But skinny heels are so sassy and sexy and feminine and pretty! It is hard to part with any of my footwear! I am cracking up about your greedy comment, by the way! I am sorry your stripey shirt got tomato stained! I hate when that happens.
I kept a few heeled shoes. For sitting parties!
The satin trousers are fabulous! I would love to get a pair for the holidays. And the gold boots with it are perfection. I saw a pair of gold boots that I am eyeing and maybe this is my sign to get them. Lol! Thanks for the link up Nancy!
Oh you should! They are definitely a great addition to your wardrobe.
You wear all black so well! Those satin trousers are so chic with the gold boots! I hope your father is doing better.
