Rain Down on Me…. Throwback Tuesday #57

black tiered dress

The times that the rain poored down on me are not countable on one hand last week!! I almost start to like it….NOT! The week started very busy. On Monday morning Eve, our household help( is that the correct word) came, of course I had to work out and on Monday I always have a lot to do on the blog, including writing the Throwback Tuesday posts. I don’t like it when a week starts of very hectic. But it is what it is.

It rained the hole week

I had to go to the nail stylist in the afternoon and when I came back from that I still had a few things to get done. Gerben was in a hotel for work on Monday and Tuesday, so also had a lot to do in the evening. I was exhausted and fell asleep at half past ten. Tuesday and Wednesday were nothing special, working out (the rain caught me on the way to and from the gym), blogging and doing things around the house.

Thursday I had a Teams meeting for a new volunteer for our ,,Longpunt,,.(I set up a long point with a few other ladies. We organize meetings for lung patients.) I also had a phone call from the ,,Longfonds,, for a interview. Perhaps that grows out to something special, can’t tell you more now! I also was interviewed by the oxygen supplier!

I beat the rain

And then it was weekend again. Saturday started with working out of course. Gerben was going to fix the television for outside, by the lounge set, and of course that went with the necessary cursing and he was busy with it all day. With the television then…. It was raining and I was fed up with the terrible summer weather. So out of misery I started cleaning and tidying up my closets.

Two garbage bags with clothes could go and I also put the necessary items on Vinted to sell. Half way through I was so tired, couldn’t finish it. Well, there will be a next time again. In the afternoon I sat outside for a while, between the showers. Even stayed put one time when it started to rain again. And after that the sun began to shine, so I beat the rain!!

Gerben had made delicious buritos and we watched Cardinal in the evening. On Sundays we both worked out, after a delicious breakfast and brushing the cats of course. I worked out 6 times this week. Actually a bit too much. In the afternoon we went to the national park. On the way it started to rain, of course, but we did see a herd of deer! And now I’m done with that rain!! Okay!!

Have a great week everyone!

It’s been raining here a lot too and it definitely gets in the way of the daily plans! Gerben makes the best meals!

The “necessary swearing” from Gerben cracked me up! Sounds like my husband! That was very cool that you were interviewed. I’m always impressed with your devotion to working out! Have a great week, Nancy!

It’s so impressive that you take the time to work out even when it’s a busy day Nancy!!
I’ll send you some sunshine if you send us some rain. We had a monsoon last Sunday, but could use some more.

Hasn’t the weather been awful? In fact, the weather forecast for this week was horrendous too, with lots of rain, but guess what, we didn’t need either our umbrellas or any of the two raincoats I’d packed for our little break! We actually had sunshine for the three days that we were gone!
Sounds like you were really busy, and working out six times too. I’m exhausted just reading that.
And please do NOT show any photos of sweets on your blog again :-)) xxx

Haha, can’t you stop either? Yes the weather is really horrible, I can’t tell you how much I hate it! I am glad you two had luck during your break! Love to read all about it!

We have had lots of rain too and I’m almost to the point where I just expect to get wet now. What a neat capture with all those deer!

Hahaha, yes me too, almost like it is normal that it rains all the time!

You had a really busy week, my friend, and I’m sure the rain didn’t help! Whenever it gets all gray and gloomy, my motivation suffers! We are back in a mini heat wave right now so I might like some rain soon! I love that you saw so many deer wandering around together. I get super excited if I see one! Even more excited when I spot two or three together. So 20 must have been a really amazing sight!

Yes it was and we hardly see them! It is so beautiful but I understood that there were to many now. So they might have to shoot a lot.
