Don’t we all just love this colour: Hot Pink! Luscious, charming, enchanting, it has it all! And while we always see a lot of red in December, we decided to choose hot pink instead! And you all agreed, as we have so many entries! And such gorgeous ones, so let’s take a look!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Hot Pink!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
If Barbie wore tie dye, I think it would be super bright pink like this old hoodie of mine. It was gifted to me a few years ago for a brand collaboration and while I don’t love the fabric, I do love the colors and wear this hoodie more frequently than I expected. So I guess it is a Good Buy (even though it was gifted)!
Sheila of Ephemera
Hot pink is a colour that makes me feel powerful and strong, and I love that it’s become a trend. It is all about taking up space and saying “I’m HERE.” I used to hate pink when I was younger, but as I’ve gotten older and more at home in my skin, I like how this bright pink makes me feel: “I am Woman, hear me roar!” (thank you, Helen Reddy).
Sally of Within a World of my Own
This bright pink/magenta quilted vest I thrifted 2 years ago is a fun way to add a vivid pop of color to a winter outfit.
Michelle of Funky Fashion Style

I love this theme so I had to share. I loved the idea of doing an elegant Barbiecore look for a night out so I chose to add this quilted jacket to skinny jeans. The suede heels keep the pink palette going.

I am sure I’m going to be wearing them loads!!

This hot pink satchel is a Good Buy and a Bad Buy in a sense because at the time when I bought it, I wanted something other than black. The bright hue was refreshing and fun. The Bad Buy that goes with this is how it can’t hold a lot of items.

I bought this pink floral skirt from C&A a couple of years ago and I’ve only worn it twice…I don’t know why but I just don’t feel right whenever I wear it. Perhaps I’m just not a ditzy floral prints kinda gal? I think it might be time for it to go. As for the pink sweater, I’m also having a few issues with it. I love the colour and the print but there’s just something I’m unsure about it. But I’m not quite ready to let it go though…not yet!
And here is my hot pink item!
This hot pink is actually not even a good colour on me, especially not in winter. But I couldn’t resist this simple yet gorgeous sweater. Perfect to wear under a jacket or blazer. And isn’t it just beautiful with green! It for sure is a Good Buy!
January’s theme will be: Sneakers!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
