Now that’s a theme that couldn’t be further from my personality, denim! Let me tell you that where I live I name it denim country as so many people wear denim. Noyt because they like it, because it is easy…..I don’t like easy….. And I never been a huge fan of denim. I have now 3 pair of jeans!!! That’s huge as I had only one for years. I do love denim jackets though, and denim dresses, and occasionally a denim skirt. And yes, I had a denim jumpsuit once as I show in this post!
Stylish Monday is created out of a Facebook group of Life and Style bloggers. Every month we interpret a theme in our own way, fashionable wise of course. It’s a fun way to be creative with clothing and accessories. And to see how other women interpret a theme chosen by someone else. It is a fabulous fashionable way to create something beautiful with other bloggers.
My denim jumpsuit with some orange.
When I look at this jumpsuit, I actually like it a lot and wished that I still had it. It was a bit snug and the waistline a bit to high for me, so it wasn’t a perfect one, but I do like it. Especially with the orange, that we see a lot in the ss/22 collections. I now would like to have a denim dress, but those are very hard to find, a perfect one then. And btw, I do have a tiered one, so why should I need another one right! Let’s take a look at my wonderful blogger frieds in their denim style.

Think jeans aren’t for you? Think again. Like many women, I hate shopping for jeans. It’s a pain in the butt. So perhaps you’ve given up – convinced yourself that jeans are not for you. Like swimsuits and bras, jeans are not a one style fits all. But with some guidance, I think you will find that jeans can be a classic staple. Find the fit for you, and you’ll have a wardrobe workhorse for life.

Dark wash, light wash, distressed, high, mid and low waisted, flares, bootcut, wide leg, skinny, curvy fit, boyfriend…so many choices with colors, fit and style! How do you even begin?! I’m taking the mystery out of how to style your body type and sharing my current favorite jeans!
Nicole of High Latitude Style
This look triples on denim with the shirt skirt and booties.Unfortunately, denim or the good old blue jeans are not a good idea in winter in Alaska. It dries too slowly and hence your sweat may freeze. Therefore, denim is either a cover-up in summer in the form of a jacket or mosquito protection when gardening in the form of jeans. Ever since my college time, I had a denim skirt despite they don’t drape nicely.

I am embracing the resurgence of the 90s denim trends with my oversized black distressed dad jeans. I remember wearing my dad’s jeans exactly this way 30 years ago!

Denim dresses never go out of style, but they are really trending right now. I have had this denim dress in my closet for years. I normally wear it in the warmer months, but here I styled it for cooler temperatures.
Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood
A pair of dark wash skinny jeans will never ever go out of style – I don’t care what “the style experts” say. Dark skinny jeans are something every woman needs in her closet. I paired mine with the color of the year in a gorgeous shade of lilac.

Are you tired of jeans? Skinny jeans were with us for such a long time I actually was bored. Things have changed my friends, it’s time to try the new silhouettes.
Emma of The Style Splash
Until recently, I had never owned a denim dress or skirt…and then I bought two denim vintage dresses on eBay! I love the style of this dress, with the shoulder pads and embellishment. Oh, and it has pockets too!

Nancy, I love this jumpsuit on you so much, it is so flattering and unique. Funny, I’ve done the same thing before – given something away, and then realized a few years later, that I wish I still had it in my wardrobe.
Love all the fun looks, so much inspiration!

I know you are not really a fan of denim but it does look good on you. It’s funny how different parts of the world view denim so differently.

Yes ideed, because with you it is very popular and stylish isn’t it?
This jumpsuit is super cute on you, Nancy! I really like the orange accessories with it, too. Such a fun vibrant shade for spring! I am recalling this crazy acid washed zip front body con denim dress that my sister had in the 1980s and I was so envious of it! I “borrowed” it once and wore it to school when I was in 7th or 8th grade with the same sexy black strappy shoes that my sister wore it with. (I “borrowed” those, too. Haha) It was such an inappropriate outfit at my age but I wore it anyway because I felt badass in it! I hope you find your perfect denim dress!

Thanks Nicole!
So many ways to wear denim! I like your orange accessories with the pale-blue denim jumpsuit. I remember wearing jumpsuits when they were popular back in the 1970s. They looked cute, but they just were not . . . er . . . practical.
Thanks for hosting the link-up.

Haha, no they are not at all! But they are cute! Thanks Carol!
I would have struggled with that theme too, although I do have a great denim skirt. Lots of denim is worn here in Belgium too, although not particularly by me! Your jumpsuit is cute, I’d wear that in a heartbeat. Such a pity you don’t have it anymore! xxx

Yes it is, but it wasn’t the right size and then it looks just hidious.
Oh I love this denim jumpsuit! I can’t believe you are up to 3 pairs of jeans. I know they are not a favorite of yours. I think I live in jeans… that or yoga/legging pants.

Haha, I don’t even feel comfortable in jeans and can’t believe other people do, lol!
You know I love to wear denim so this is a fabulous post, nice to see everyone’s different looks. Jacqui x

Yes that is the fun part of these series I think! That we all are so different with all our own style!
So many cute denim styles. Your jumpsuit is so cute with the pops of orange. Orange is a color I don’t wear often and I don’t have much of it in my closet, but it sure can add a lovely pop of something extra to an outfit!

I had one orange top that I wanted to sell, and then changed my mind. It looks gorgeous on my brown skirt! Thanks Carrie!
I love the contrast of the light blue with orange accents!

That denim jumpsuit was super cute on you, Nancy! But it’s no fun to wear something that doesn’t fit quite right.

No and then it doesn’t look good either! Thanks Michelle!
For years and years and years I didn’t wear jeans. Hardly wore pants. They made me look…FAT. But finally got over myself, and have embraced pants and jeans of all shapes and sizes.
So many great denim looks. It is just about the more versatile textile. Such varied silhouettes. Love the navy tights or hose the gals are wearing with their denim dresses. And your jumpsuit is so fun, especially with the orange accessories.
