Today I put my new denim skirt in the spotlight. For as long as I can remember I have had denim skirts. As a child I didn’t like jeans very much,( still don’t) but a denim skirt I did like. I’ve always had at least one in my closet. Last winter I had to give this one away because it was just too tight. In fact, it has never fitted perfect.
Old denim skirts
I bought it at the store where I had worked for many years, and the saleswoman said that I had to take a size smaller because it would run out. After years of working in the fashion industry, I could tell by the material whether it would run out or not and with this skirt I thought it wouldn’t. But you don’t want to be stubborn and therefore I bought a size smaller. Well the skirt didn’t run out for an inch! And thanks. Just listen to myself. I’m always right! LOL.
I also have this denim skirt, but it is quite dark and I just wanted a new one for spring and summer. This one is also a bit dull. And I can’t wear it at home on my white couch. I still like this outfit!
New denim skirt
I like it when buttons or zippers are crooked. And the high waist I always find very flattering with skirts. In addition, everything looks good on a denim skirt. Every color, every style, everything is possible on a denim skirt. I was immediately in love when I saw this t-shirt. Isn’t it cool? I loved seeing that movie, together with a large bowl of candy! I just accept the fact that it does not contain a v neck.
I would really appreciate it if you would share my outfit on Pinterest! Just hoover over the photo!
I like the new skirt Nancy, you look fabulous!

Thanks Tina!
I’ve have a funny relationship with denim skirts. I love the way they look but I don’t think I’ve ever had one that I found comfortable!! I hate the way they either ride up or turn on my hips! I’ve always wanted a denim dress too but I find the fabric not comfortable enough for that lol. Perhaps I need to choose Tencel fabric instead? That way it still looks like denim?
I think you look fabulous – the skirt is perfect on you and I love the tee!!

The tee may be scary but that denim skirt is sexy so that steals the show! What a fab skirt Nancy! I love the cut of this skirt and the tie – looks fantastic on you my friend!

Love your new denim skirt, Nancy. It’s just perfect. I’ve been on the lookout for one too, but haven’t found one I like yet. Maybe the charity shops in the UK will have one 😉 Oh, and I voted for you! xxx

Oh that is fantastic Ann! I am already looking forward to read about your trip. When are you going?
you look precious in this skirt! I seriosuly love the look of a denim skirt but haven’t had one in years. They just don’t fit my pear shape as well as they use to fit my pre-mom bod.

Thanks Shelly!

You look wonderful in your denim skirt. I love the fact you went with a pencil skirt because they are more flattering than other styles. Love your Jaws graphic t-shirt. It is so appropriate since it is a summer cult classic!

Oh, Nancy, you make me laugh…buying a skirt smaller… I’m guilty of buying things smaller which I have to give away! I have voted for you! Good luck!

Haha, really? It’s not that scary!
You look great in your denim skirts, I love that last one with the graphic tee! I’d like to get a denim skirt like this but I need to wait until the boys are a little bigger – they aren’t the best for running around after toddlers, haha!
Hope your week is going well 🙂 It’s colder again here, back to feeling like winter after our summer-like heatwave last week!

Hi Nancy!
I love a denim skirt too! The buttons down the front are my favorite, and I love the assymetrical style with the slit. A bit of sexiness! May I ask where you bought it? It looks wonderful and is timeless. Cute tee too! one of my favorite movies.
