First I had to search on Google how you name dresses like this one, a tiered denim dress! Aaah, I read that so many times on other blogs and never had a clue what it meant, lol. I had wanted a denim dress from the beginning of spring. But I just didn’t come across a nice one. Now I only shop online, because of Corona, and I just don’t feel like going through all kinds of online shops. I just browse the regular ones. Zara, Mango, Asos and Cos.
Tiered denim dress, with or without belt?
Now I could go shopping in brick shops again. Coincidentally, I heard today that there is a nice vintage shop in Arnhem. I can go there by bicycle, so I will do that soon. But I was allowed to select a number of items for a collaboration with Angel Clementine and that became this tiered denim dress, among other items. (by the way, the collaboration was for Instagram but I want to mention the online shop in my blog too, as they have fabulous items) I really love these kind of layered dresses. And I prefer to wear them without a belt. But Gerben thinks that it becomes too wide. He’s pretty good at seeing what looks good and what doesn’t, so I’ll take it.
That doesn’t mean I don’t wear this, or my black one, tiered dress without a belt, I do, because I like it that way too. How do you wear your tiered dresses? With or without a belt?
Denim dresses look good with any color
That’s stupid, isn’t it, that an outfit always looks nicer in the mirror than on camera. I have so often that just before we start taking photos, I check in the mirror if everything is in order. And when I look at the photos I think, no I should have done a slightly wider belt. Or I should have done this and that. So annoying.
I’m wearing the dress here with some green accessories because I felt like wearing these espadrilles. But with a denim dress you can of course wear any color. I hardly ever wear these necklaces. They are, for me, really old. Well, 13 years or so. Really liking them again and the colors are nice too. I am super happy with my tiered denim dress!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!

Your blue skirt design style reminds me of France. It’s cool and romantic, and it makes people look young and very temperamental.

What a lovely dress! I tend to wear my tiered dresses without belts… mostly because I don’t really own any belts.
Author
I like them better without and I don’t even like to wear a belt!
Feeling very honored today! Thank you so much for featuring me.
Very cool.

Love the style of this dress Nancy, you look fab in it. It’s going to be a versatile one for sure as you’ll be able to wear it in Winter too. Jacqui xx
You found a beauty there! I can see you wearing it in winter with long boots and a long cardigan or polo neck jumper.
Love this soft blue chambray tiered dress on you, it’s so pretty and feminine! Everything voluminous seems to be trending right now-tiers, ruffles and full sleeves. I like the way you styled this dress with a belt, but it would look nice loose, also. It has lost of options! I have the same problem with recognizing things I would like to change about an outfit after I see it photographed. Oh well, it gives me ideas for styling it the next time. Have a good weekend and thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for featuring me!!
Very, very appreciated (and surprising).
And the dress, beads and tassel look awesome together.
Thank you again,
Wendy
I really like this dress! The tiers are really pretty and a change of accessories and shoes and layers later one will make it look like a new oufit each time: so versatile!

I think so too. I can see me wearing this one with brown boots too in fall!
Such a pretty dress! I don’t often think of denim being as being so feminine. So cool! Blue and green is one of my favorite color combinations.

As my search for the perfect denim dress is ongoing, I’m swooning over that gorgeous tiered denim dress of yours! Also loving the pale green espadrilles. And yes, I’ve had the same experience with outfits looking better in the mirror than on camera. xxx P.S. I think the Feedburner follow by email thing has finally come to an end … not sure what I’ll do, but for now I’ll be sharing updates on my Facebook and Instagram …

I love your denim tiered dress, Nancy!! It’s a good look on you. Green accessories are so pretty–great inspiration!! I notice things about my outfits, too, from the photos. But always afterward, so I can’t do anything about it!! I guess it helps us style it better the next time we wear it!! Lol! To be honest, I usually wear mine without a belt but it looks good either way.

I have yet to try a tiered dress, but I love this one!! I probably would wear it with the belt. But the thinner belt is wonderful, especially with the necklaces!!

The tiered dress looks good on you , love its soft colour and those tiers. Belts can be tricky with the placement of the various tiers. Your garden looks very pretty. Have a good weekend Nancy , many thanks for hosting.

Thanks! Yes they are and I love to wear them!
What a versatile dress. I would think it could be worn 3 seasons a year. Love that you used green espadrilles with it and green beads. The tassels are a fun bit of bling, too. I always worry how I look when PC agrees to take photos for me. He often just starts snapping pictures and my hair can be standing straight up or my blouse can be buttoned crooked, etc. You never have a hair out of place. Always lovely.

Hahaha, Leslie that is so not true!! My hair is always a mess! And Gerben doesn’t see it either f I have lipstick or whatever on my teeth! Haha, so funny, thanks love!
That’s a really cute dress, Nancy! I’m tempted by it, but I realized a few years ago that I rarely wear denim, whether that’s jeans, skirts or dresses. I love that tiered skirt style – it’s a fun swooshy one.
Thanks so much for the link-party!
