These daisies remind me of the times that I, when I was a little girl, picked daisies with my grandmother and made a hairband out of them.
And I always thought that wouldn’t happen to me. That you forget that you have a certain item of clothing in your closet that you have never worn. I always think that it’s so weird to forget what you have. But it happened with this skirt. (or actually NOT…don’t know what’s worse, keep on reading….) I think I bought it three months ago and I was looking in my closet one day what to wear. And thought: what the hell! I still have that skirt too. Never worn! How bad! And you know what was even worse? Just look at this.
Wearing daisies for a sentimental journey
I did wear it before!! Gosh. So I found out after we took photos of this outfit. Oh oh oh, is that menopause? Well, it’s a nice skirt and you’ve never seen this sweater with daisies anyway. Because I just bought it on Vinted! I can remember that! Isn’t it cute? I wanted to wear the blue Converse with this look and changed my mind at the last minute. Thank goodness for that, otherwise it would have been a very similar outfit.
I call this sweater my daisy sweater, but I am not sure thesee are daisies. I am not a plant and flower knowing kind a girl. But somehow this sweater reminded me of my childhood, clothing wise, and daisies.
Looking forward to see daisies in bloom again
I think it’s a cute sweater, and wonderfully warm. And pre loved! I have worn the skirt many times now. It strikes me that the clothes I have bought in recent months are all very thin and actually too cold to wear in winter.(and it’s a bloody cold one) And that I look forward to wearing it without tights, in the spring, when daisies are in full bloom again. At the same time, I know that I have already bought new clothes by then and will hardly wear these…. food for thought.
You know that I am a matchy matchy girl. Therefore navy earrings, ring and bracelet. And to let the cognac of the boots return in the outfit, I added a cognac coloured belt. I tried a navy belt, like you do, but that was pretty boring. So you might have seen this skirt again, but not with this lovley daisies sweater, and in real life I do wear clothes more then once…..lol.
I would really appreciate it if you would follow me on Instagram.

Daisies always make me smile! I love the subtle daisy print on your sweater. I sometimes forget about things that get deep into my closet (esp since I have too many closed squished in my closet as it is!!).

I love that sweater and the fact you’ve picked out the yellow with the mustard boots and belt. Super co-ordination there! The yellows look so good with the navy skirt. Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend and hopefully it won’t be too cold!

As for the outfit, you look great. I wouldn’t have thought to wear cognac with these colours but I like it! I’m really not a floral girl either…I can just about identify a rose and a tulip LOL!
Have a great weekend.

I am a matchy-matchy girl too! I love this look with the cognac belt and boots. The outfit looks great on you-soft and warm but with the hope of the coming spring in the sweet daisy trimmed sweater! Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend!

Thank you very much Di!
I really really like the navy with the cognac and can’t believe I have done a combination like that before. I am going to have to look at my closet and see what I can put together. The daisy print is perfect at the color. Adds a little whimsy to the outfit.

Have I ever seen you wearing a skirt? Can’t remember!
How exciting to be last week’s favourite! I will link again as soon as I’ve published my next post, promise!
I’m totally in love with your daisies jumper, and I too remember making hairbands and bracelets with daisies 🙂
That skirt is well worth wearing for the first time two times, haha, and I absolutely love the cognac boots and belt you wore with it! xxx

Haha, that’s okay Ann! I am still laughing about your loo story!
Ha, I totally find things in my closet that I forgot I owned (like the boots I’m wearing in this week’s post)! Cute sweater 🙂

I never thought that would happen to me about having something I hadn’t worn in my closet, but it did the other summer. I had purchased something from a summer sale, but it was too cold to wear them. So I forgot about them until the middle of the next summer.
I just love this with the belt Nancy,

Oh, I love this with the cognac belt and boots! And, honestly, that belt is amazing! I embroidered flowers on a tee because it needed something but also because it reminded me of my grandma’s huge flower garden. She grew all these flowers, but she very rarely ever cut them and put them in her house! Thanks so much for the link party!

I also have a lot of flowers in my garden and never cut them. Weird actually!
You are a daisy darling! Love that pretty sweater and the color on you!

Thank you very much Lucy, I appreciate that!
It’s a really pretty sweater and I love how you’ve styled it with the long skirt and cognac accessories. I used to make daisy chain bracelets as a child. Btw, I often forget about clothes I’ve bought – it’s a nice surprise to find them again!

HI Nancy I really love the flowers on your sweater and it is such a pretty one. Its great when you wear something with sentimental meaning, as you had with your Grandmother. Sometimes Ill go through a new season in my closet and forget that I had a certain garment.
Hope you are doing well! Love the long skirt with it.

I love that you pulled the yellowy tones out of the daisies for your accessories/shoes, Nancy! My matchy heart is happy!
I sometimes miss a sweater, as my folding/organization is more like a jumble that I root around in, lol. But I never miss a skirt!
Thanks so much for the link-party!

Oh Sheila, I have a matchy heart too! Missing a sweater is just as bad….lol.
I am so sorry for the late comment, I had a migraine on Friday and yesterday I was working and did not get a chance to read your post. Anyway! Here I am! I love that sweater and I love how it made you think of when you were a little girl. It is just so pretty and I love how you styled it. This look is so chic and sophisticated. I hope that you had a nice weekend (even though it is Tuesday) and that your week is off to a good start! XO
