Yes, finally a black outfit again with my new black high-waisted trousers! Oh I love it so much! But I can hardly imagine that I always was dressed in black years ago. When I was in my early 20’s I went to a store in Arnhem every week where they only sold black clothing. No alternative clothing, what you might expect from the 80s, but beautiful stylish feminine clothing! I was just so in love with that store. Incidentally, it only ceased to exist a few years ago. But a black outfit still makes me very happy.

Black high-waisted trousers
Preferably also a simple outfit, with no frills, buckles or any distractions. Like these high-waisted black trousers. Simple clean lines. The top is slightly less simple, broderie anglaise. With a very special hemline. Which you really can’t see because I am wearing it half tucked. But I could very well wear a super simple black t-shirt on these trousers and feel like I just stepped out of a fashion magazine. And everyone else would think, phew what and simple outfit without any effort. But that’s what I like to wear! And I feel damn good in it!
Black and pink, perfect combination
I personally think gold accessories go perfectly with a monochrome black outfit. But I was in a pink mood I guess. That makes the look a bit less heavy, a bit less harsh. I wear peacock pink earrings and my pink plastic ring that I like very much. And just like the earrings, my sandals have different shades of pink and red. But these heeled sandals also look great underneath!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!

I have worn an all black outfit in a while so I just put this on my calendar for a blog post next month inspired by you! All black is always classy and we all have black pieces in our closet. Love the pink accents.
Oh that would be lovely! I don’t think I have ever seen you in black!
Always love an all black outfit Nancy and you look wonderful in the high waisted pants. Love the pink touches too.
Many thanks for hosting.
Yes I know, you love to wear it too!
I still think that black is the most powerful color! And the total black outfits are still my favorite! Those trousers suite you perfect, and you can wear them the whole year around! I love items like that!
I love the combination with pink! Very beautiful!
Thank you very much Tatiana!

This monochrome outfit looks great on you, Nancy! You can’t go wrong with black, it’s always chic. Hope you have a good weekend, and thanks for the link up!
How lovely that you featured my friend Lynn as last week’s favourite, I’m sure you will be chuffed.
I too used to wear black almost exclusively for a while, back in the – surprise! – eighties. Now I hardly ever wear black, unless it’s got a – preferably colourful – print. Love the Broderie Anglaise top and the flashes of pink from your shoes and earrings! xxx
Oh didn’t realize she was a friend of you! That’s lovely! Thanks Ann!
You had me at high waisted, Nancy!! I adore high waisted trousers. especially in black! This outfit is utterly perfect/ I used to wear so much black, like you. And I still LOVE it!
Your earrings are absolutely freaking gorgeous too lol!! Can you tell I love everything about this look?!
Haha, well that makes me smile love!
Very cool, Nancy! NOthing beats a great pear of high-rise, especially in black- love!
I really love those high-waisted trousers. They are super flattering and very chic. Parisian vibe I think.
Oh lala, thanks Hilda!
Such a great outfit it’s so sleek and versatile 🙂
I love that pretty pop of pink with your shoes! This outfit is so cute on you!
I love that bright pop of pink with all black too! I tend to wear an awful lot of black and love that it goes with everything. Those high- waisted pants look great on you.
You can’t go wrong with a smart black outfit! You look stunning! <3
Thank you very much!
I like how you added in color with your earrings and shoes Nancy!!
I used to wear all black in the 80’s also…does that surprise you? LOL!! Now I have hardly any in my closet.
Yes it really surprises me! I really can’t imagine you in black. Humor me and wear it once!
These pants fit you perfectly, Nancy! So flattering and stylish!
I hope you are having a great week so far!

I love this outfit and the sandals are such a nice touch. I’m always confused by the new length in trousers. Is this cropped length here to stay? I feel like my pants are too short. I guess it’s going to take getting used to. Christina
Well it just depends on what you like best Christina! I don’t like long trousers, so I almost never wear them. But if you don”t feel comfortable in cropped ones, then just don’t wear them!
Love the whole look, they seem very comfortable on you Nancy. Tthanks for hosting the linkup too. Jacqui x
Loving this look Nancy. I don’t often wear all black but I have picked up some lovely long black dresses lately that I need to wear 🙂
Thanks for hosting.
Thanks so much for linking up to The Weekend Link Up, too. #TheWeekendLinkUp
Looking forward to see it Claire!
I LOVE the black top! So pretty! And, I love that you added the splash of color with the pink sandals <3
Thank you for hosting! I hope you have a lovely weekend <3
Nancy you look great and I like 7/8 highwaist pants too.
You look fantastic in this all black styling. I love bold colours and patterns but I also love the timeless elegance of black clothing. Sometimes nothing feels better than a monochrome black outfit.
I’m sure that the store that sold only black clothing was a nice place to visit. Shame about it being closed, but I guess that today it is easier to buy any style so if you feel like buying only black, there are good options out there.
Indeed Ivana, that said, I worked in a trendy womenswear shop and the clothes that sold the worst were the black ones!
I love this outfit on you, Nancy—the bright pink shoes really make it!

THanks! Those shoes are really fun!
I so seldom wear a solid black outfit, but I have one black silk dress that I’ll be wearing at some point this summer (and I think I wore it with pink accessories last summer!). You look very chic here, Nancy! We have a few boutique stores like the one you describe – they only sell neutral colours: black, beige, tan, white. Ugh – they are not for me. I don’t even bother going in.
Thank you so much for the link-up! I’m adding my own Fancy Friday outfit, plus the ginormous jumpsuit I wore on the weekend.
Haha, no I can’t picture you in neutrals at all! Thanks Sheila!
Very chic and stylish outfit! The pink accents look lovely with it.
