And in this outfit I do wear a lot of different textures! I like to wear monochrome or ton sur ton outfits. And if I do wear multiple colors, it’s three colors at most. I also don’t wear many accessories. I love them, and have baskets full too, especially earrings. But I often wear my basic accessories. That means gold earrings, gold watch and some bracelets. Most of the time I find accessories rather clumsy. But hey, an outfit can come across as pretty boring if you are not wearing any accessories.. And you probably think that about my outfits anyway because I like a simple clean look.
Wearing different textures (when you don’t stand out in colors).
But to not let myself be a Plane Jane completely, I do like contrasts in an outfit. For example, something cool with something very feminine. Or as in this outfit, wear different textures. I received this outfit! Not through a collaboration but because of a television program. I don’t remember how much I told you about that because I got sick afterwards and didn’t blog and respond for a few weeks.
So I was surprised by a television program, at my house!, where they surprise people who are ill. So my surprise was: shopping at home! With a stylist who had brought all kinds of clothes. And I was allowed to pick out two sets. I wanted the stylist to also pick out a set for me. And that’s what this one has become. And what different textures are included? Suede boots, silk skirt, mohair sweater and denim waistcoat.
Wearing different textures for more interest.
I had to get used to the waistcoat first because I never wear a vest or waistcoat. But it does add a little something extra to the outfit! The skirt is really great. This is all branded clothing, so expensive, but you notice that in the quality. The skirt is quite heavy, thick and does not draw at all. That is immediately the case with the somewhat cheaper skirts made of ,silk,. I am very happy with this outfit, it fits great and I feel completely myself in it. Wearing lots of different textures, so it’s certainly not a boring look!
