Is it just me or do we see a lot of 70s influenced items in fashion this year? I have to say I love it though. Except for wide legged trousers, I never liked those. Probably because I have no bum, and certainly not in pants with wide legs. But it seems to me that fashion from the 70s is so feminine and elegant. Beautiful wrap dresses, bow blouses, high heels. Or is it my age that I like it now?
But also in furniture you see a lot of 70s influences. Funny, the things that I found so horrible as a child, I think now are beautiful. That’s how it works I guess!
Denim skirt outfit influenced by the 70s
Today I wear a little bit of 70s feel. This sweater with the 70s psychedelic print is great! I immediately felt like, yes on a denim skirt it would look fabulous. I’m not that much a fan of the turtleneck, but I liked the print better than that I disliked the turtleneck. And I like the turtleneck better now then that I did a few years ago. A denim skirt also feels a bit from decades ago. Perhaps that is because I wore denim skirts as a child a lot. I liked that better as jeans as you might know.
Boots and top influenced by the 70s
I always wear this bracelet when I am wearing something that feels a bit 70s for me. This one is so very old, but I like it so very much. I was wondering if I would wear these boots under the skirt, but I almost never wear the ones I am wearing now. So let’s put them in the spotlights hey. I am not a huge fan of this heel but they are comfortable and fit great with the top! Of course a outfit influenced by the 70s need gold colored loops!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my outfit on Pinterest! Just hoover over the photo!

Love your nod to the 70s! The denim skirt is a perfect cut to flatter your figure, you did well to find it because most of them are aimed at the straight up and down shape!
Author
Yes they are! Thanks Gail!
Cool look: feminine and sporty in one. I absolutely love how you have combined all these items Nancy, very inspirational. Have a great weekend. Love, Lieske

Nancy, I love this outfit! That denim skirt is sassy. I am with you, I kind of hated the 70’s styles when I look back at how my mother dressed me during that era! But now I really love a little hint of 70’s here and there. You are rocking this vintage inspired look!

Very fun look, Nancy. It’s unusual to see you in blue denim! This morning my daughter was wearing an acid-washed denim jacket–hahaha–the same as when her dad and I were dating!

Haha, yes it is unusual! Thanks Kim!
Looking very cool, Nancy! Great top and skirt!

Thanks Jennie!
The 70’s really is having another moment now. I love your look and the shape of the skirt.
I’ve been watching The Deuce on HBO which takes place in the 70’s. It has really inspired me. I thrifted some wide leg jeans that I’ve been loving. In the past I hated that look on my and now I’m in love with it. LOL It’s also great to wear some of my wild authentic 70’s pieces. I have quite a few great shirts from that era.

Yes you do have a lot of those psychedelic prints which I love very much!
I love the top Nancy, and agree that our fashion is 70’s inspired. I’ve got a new dress that I wore for my grandson’s christening and that’s got a 70’s vibe – it’s lovely and I’ll be sharing it on the blog too. Jacqui

Looking forward to seeing it Jacqui!
I totally dig the 70s clothes! I am going to style my flares from JBrand I bought recently. LOVE your jean skirt and the asyymetrical style in the front. The slit adds some sexiness. You have a great figure Nancy!
Have a great weekend!

Not better then yours! Thanks Jess!
The details of that denim skirt are great with slit in the front like that. I had to laugh because I have gotten a few wide leg pants lately and for some reason I like them. They seem more dressy than the usual skinny jeans. So beware you’re going to see them on my blog in the next couple of weeks!!LOL

Oh boy! And more scary…..I will love them!
I love 70s fashion, even down to those wide legged trousers! That funky print top is such a great find and works a treat with your denim skirt. Your boots are lovely too, I can’t see much wrong with the heels, though. Have a marvellous weekend, Nancy. xxx

Thanks Ann!
Ah, the seventies. A good era: denim; being young and carefree; looking good; hopes and dreams. Yep, a denim skirt too.
Author
Haha, woodstock!
Great look on you Nancy. You did well to find that skirt with its flattering shape. I am the opposite to you, far prefer wide pants as they suit my shape better. Many thanks for hosting.

And so we are all different! Good thing, otherwise fashion would be boring! Thanks Jill!

I love this look and you look wonderful in the style! You’re so right, it does have a very ’70s vibe. That shirt is just wonderful and I love the cut of the skirt. Those boots are just perfect! I liked flared pants OK the first time they came around but not much after that, but now I’m really into them and don’t have nearly enough of them. Thanks so much for the link-up!

I’ve been loving the 70’s influence this season too. I love that we are seeing different silhouettes for denim and not just the typical skinny leg. I love your top and the cool psychedelic print and it looks so good paired with your denim skirt!
