But are still very nice to look back at, for me anyway. Why don’t I have them anymore? I’ll tell you that later. As many of you know, Gerben and I are on holiday. That’s why I have a post for you today with dresses that I no longer have. Because I already explained here that I think it is a waste of my time to take pictures and edit them for a post that I cannot give full attention to. Because I don’t want that on holiday. At least not as much as I normally would. And not posting anything scares the hell out of me, sorry but it’s the sad truth…..lol. So I made a selection of dresses that I no longer have, but that I still really like.
Dresses I no longer have
The dresses I show you today are also dresses I showed on the part of my blog that was lost. So it is not that you have seen these over and over again! Looking back at these photos, I wish I still had these dresses. It were such lovely dresses. But I feel like that also about some of my outfits I wore like 30 years ago! Can’t keep everything right? And I am not a keeper, I am a throw away er…..
This was such a comfortable dress but not my color. The colors are to cool for me. But I loved the military jacket on it and those boots with it. The boots are very old but I love that color!
Same story really. Very comfortable but not my color. And I actually don’t like red! Might be the only woman on earth who doesn’t like red.
I love this floral print, but to light for me. But I didn’t mind that with this dress. But it was to snug on my chest and that makes breathing so difficult. But I do still love and own those shoes!
This one was cotton and I hate wrinkles! So no cotton dresses or skirts for me. Also I do prefer some longer sleeves. But gingham is such a perfect print for spring and summer. I might buy those green gingham trousers by Zara.
This was a lovely stretchy dress, with pockets, but also a bit snug on the chest. And a bit short for my liking.
This was a gorgeous dress. A silky wrap dress. It was extreme comfortable, but not my colors.
This dress I wore till it was worn out! I wore it a lot with a denim jacket and white boots. I bought it in 2010. Now that length would not work for me anymore, back then perhaps also not.
Such lovely dresses
The funny things about all these dresses I don’t have anymore, is that they were all gifted by companies, I choose them myself, except for the polka dot one. And only that one I wore to pieces. And also weird is that I am looking for a floral print dress and these are all, except …., floral prints! Mm, perhaps I am not so fond of wearing a floral print dress as I think!

Fun to look at outfits from past years. Mine show up in my memories on Facebook sometimes, or in my photos as reminders about what I was doing/wearing a year ago, 5 years ago, etc. Of those you shared, my favorite is the first one that you styled with the blue boots. What a gorgeous blue color in those boots!! I think you wear white well. I also like the pink cardi and black dress and the polka dot dress.
Hope you are having the best time on holiday. I am off this weekend to visit my mom again.
Fun post, Nancy! So many pretty dresses. I had to laugh at your comment about red. It’s a color that is hard for me to feel comfortable wearing. So I get it.
Enjoy your holiday!

I like the idea of floral dresses but the reality was, I hardly ever wear them. Nice to see all your lovely dresses, even though you don’t have them now. Hope you’re having a good holiday
I used to have that second dress with the butterflies on it but I recently sold it! It’s always fun to look back at past outfits! Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful weekend!

it’s a shame you haven’t kept these dresses, but it’s nice you got to try and wear them a little after companies sent them to you 🙂 I find I have the different problem – I keep things for too long, I find it really hard to part with pieces sometimes!
Thanks for the link up 🙂
Hope you are having a nice week on holiday!
I wish you a nice holiday Nancy. I love red :))
Clever idea for a post, Nancy. Sometimes you need to be able to put together a blog post quickly and a retrospective is a fabulous way to do that. I hope that you are having a marvelous time on your holiday.

I remember most of these beautiful dresses Nancy. You was mad to get rid of that first one! I understand though. Like you say, we can’t keep it all. Have a lovely holiday xx
I find this so helpful Nancy. I appreciate you explaining why the dress is no longer with you and all the reasons are such good ones. Just because a dress is pretty doesn’t mean we need to keep it – sometimes it can be pretty but just doesn’t work for us and it’s okay to let it go. Great post!!

What a great idea for a post! Love all of these looks! Why are you scared on not posting? I know for a fact that we would never forget you! Breaks are good my friend. Hope you are enjoying the last bits of your holiday! XO

You look fabulous in all of them! Though I too tend to get rid of things often (and then sort of wish I had them back years later). I also won’t keep anything that need ironing.
Oh my goodness, Nancy, I had forgotten about when you lost your entire blog. Oh what a sad mess that was for you. But you have shared so many wonderful things since then and built the whole thing right back up! This was a fun post. I have a ton of gifted dresses that I probably should get rid of as well for various reasons like wrong color or poor fit. But I am not a throw away-er like you, I am absolutely a hoarder when it comes to my clothing! Ugh, but I am really running out of space because I just keep shopping without throwing anything away! Teach me to be a throw away-er, please! I hope you and Gerben are having the best holiday ever!

They’re so cute and now they’re gone- the fun part is that you have those great pics. How practical for posting while you’re away!
Loved this post with all the pretty dresses you have loved and let go. A retrospective is a fun way to see how our style has changed, and what we have learned along the way! Hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
Those dresses are all so fun and show your style!
So many pretty dresses so it was interesting to see why they didn’t work for you and why you didn’t have them anymore.

I loved the top pic – your pose and the fun look on your face!
I also loved that you shared dresses you no longer have <3 That was actually kind of a fun post to look through (love the butterfly one).
AND, I LOVE that you didn't have a fav because you're on vacation 😉 Get it girly!
Thank you for hosting and have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!
First of all, I do hope you’re having a wonderful holiday, and particularly that the weather hasn’t been too bad for you!
Quite a few stunners among those dresses: I love the first one, the gingham one and the black floral one the best. And you’ve given me an idea for a blog post too. Looking back at my blog, there seem to be quite a few dresses I no longer have 🙂 xxx
I hope you are having a wonderful time on vacation! It was fun to look back on your dresses, even if you no longer have them! I think it’s nice to do that to help us know better what to buy in the future!
I love the dress with the butterflies (and the navy polka dot one too) but can totally understand if it’s not your color. I just bought a bright green dress and am still on the fence about it!

I think we all have things that don’t work for us. And it’s amazing that you still make them look good.

Wow, what a lovely selection, such a shame they are no longer with you – I would have happily had the grey and yellow dress, it’s so pretty.
Thanks for hosting the linkup too Nancy. Hope your holiday is going well. x

What a great idea for a post, Nancy! I’ve gotten rid of so many clothes over the years too, and there’s always a good reason. The worst is when something is really lovely but is tight around the chest!
Hugs

I go through cycles of what I like and what Im not crazy about. I have gotten rid of many clothes over the years and decided to keep only stuff I love. You do love fabulous in dresses and have a wonderful Holiday!
