Wearing a short dress over 50, and feeling just good in it!
Most of you know that I have only bought pre-loved clothing for the first time in about a year or so. Before that I always had something against it. Not against the more sustainable use of material things, but more against wearing clothes that someone else I don’t know has already worn. I’m a bit of a bug when it comes to hygiene. Just not over the edge of exaggeration, I think. But it is pretty clean (you can also read sterile) at our home.
Wearing a pre loved short dress over 50
So yes, clothes that have been worn by someone else, was a thing. But I am over it now and I am always looking for a nice brand that I do not know on second hand sites. For example, my sister gave me a name of a brand that I did not know yet, and this is the dress from that brand, LolaLiza. (not a sponsored post, just want to introduce you to this brand)
Not only companies are more socially aware, but also bands
Nowadays people are becoming more aware of being more economical when it comes to buying clothes. And more and more companies are becoming more social. Here you can read what Kaya jewelry contributes. A very social company that I worked with a few months ago.
But what surprised me a few weeks ago, was the Metallica performance in the Netherlands. Unfortunately I have not been there. But one day after the performance, Gerben read that Metallica, in the country where they performe, donate a certain percentage of the performance at a charity they chose. In the Netherlands they had chosen children from the food bank. And not even in the capital but here in the neighborhood in the east. The children, whose parents receive packages from the food bank, get a birthday present and a clothing package twice a year. And Metallica donated € 24.000! I thought that was great! How social is that!
Short dress over 50 and two cardigans
I wear the dress with two different cardigans. I can’t actually choose which I like best, so I want to leave that to you. The yellow one you saw here before , and the blue one here. I bought the sandals last year. I don’t wear them often because they don’t match with everything I wear in terms of style, but I find them so beautiful! Actually it strikes me now that they would look very nice under a maxi dress that I don’t have. And now I should be ashamed, because I started this post with buying second-hand clothes and think twice before you buy. Now I am thinking if I would want to buy a maxi dress. I’m just going to search online. I promise it will either be a pre-loved one or not! Oh dear, I am bad….
I would really appreciate it if you would share my outfit on Pinterest! Just hoover over the photo!
