Neon! Match made in Seven

Match made in Seven: Neon

Welcome to the monthly edition of  Match made in Seven! We are a international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme in turn, and that can be anything. A book, music, a color, a movie. And then we style an outfit based on that theme. The theme of this month is chosen by Emma and is: Neon!

Also take a look at the other bloggers how they have interpreted the theme this month. There links can be found at the bottom of this post!

Did I find something for the theme?

When Emma came with this theme I had to swallow. But okay, I think that a few other Match made in Seven partners had to think twice about my theme last month. Payback time! But what fun to do with other bloggers. Anyway, neon is something to think about hard. I think I did not ever wear neon, even when it was ,,hot,,. When was that, eighties, I think. My god, it seems like an eternity ago. In fact, it has been an eternity.

So I went into my wardrobe to see what I could do with this theme. And look there, there was my neon yellow cardigan. I bought it on this dress.floral blue dress and yellow cardigan The dress I sold, but the cardigan I have kept, because you can never have to many cardigans can you!

So now I had a neon item!

And how to wear it then? I just went with the cardigan along all my tops, then along all skirts and trousers and then along all dresses. And there I found the perfect match. I did not show you this dress to long ago. It’s the custom made dress by Tessa’s Jurkjes. But this cardigan fits perfectly and gives the dress a spring vibe. I even like it better with these lighter colors then my usual black. We had a lovely spring ish weekend when we shoot these photos. It was the weekend before last, I am in the UK now, well we are returning today. But it was very warm for February. Fantastic, spring can’t arrive soon enough!custom made dress with a bit of neonblue and neon yellowblue ankle bootsblue statement ringme in a neon cardigancustom made wrap dressfashionblogger outfit

Now I can’t wait to see all my lovely blog partners in neon! Can you?

I love the neon green with the dark blue! Both dresses are fabulous…I can’t believe you sold the floral print one, it looks great on you! I rarely get rid of anything, I’m a hoarder, much to my husband’s frustration! I have to admit that I wondered if I’d bitten off more than I could chew with neon, but I really enjoyed when I’d found the right sweater. I did a lot of browsing on Pinterest for inspo!

What a great outfit! I like the yellow cardi even better with THIS dress than the one you bought it with!

And you know what’s REALLY neon?? Your smile! I always love your photos cuz you look so vibrant and alive and happy!

I’ve loved seeing how everyone incorporated neon into their looks, be it in big or small ways – this was a fun theme. Looking forward (or am I shivering in fear??) to next month!

I love it when it works out that I already have something when I’m participating in a themed link up! I have one sort of neon pink blouse and I like wearing it with neutrals, it’s a fun way to participate in a trend that works for me. Your cardigan is perfect!

I think I will now, I just forgot a bit about that cardigan.

I have to admit that I haven’t got any neon yellow at all in my wardrobe, so I would have really struggled with this. Your cardigan does work really well with the dress, and I love the tights and booties! But I also love that dress you got rid of. Why did you let it go? xxx

It was a bit to large. I loved the dress and it was very comfortable but it was to spacey in the waist.

  9. 28th February 2019 / 18:22

I hope that you wear that cardigan again now that you have dug it out. Give it a good run for its money this spring and summer. What a shame you don’ t have that dress anymore. It was gorgeous. Good on you adding the pic into the post for inspiration for others. Yes, another fun challenge.

Well done! I liked that dress before and the neon sweater is perfect with it! I must say I have been leery of these challenges but it is turning out to be lots of fun. Your brainchild, my friend!!

What a fun neon cardi! it looks beautiful on you and I think you picked well wearing it with that dress! 🙂 It’s funny how many pieces we do have to fit trends in our wardrobes even when we think we don’t have a lot – your cardigan was such a good find.

Hope that your week is going well so far and you have a nice weekend planned 🙂
