If I can’t go to England, then I’ll bring England to me with my countryside chic outfit. Our holiday is already a week on and we are having a great time, we really need it. Unfortunately, we can’t go abroad (to England) anymore because I’m on the transplant list. But we’ve booked a few nights in our own country, which is nice too.
A modern take on countryside chic

I will tell you what we did and where we went after our vacation. Today I am showing you an outfit that isn’t from TikTok but from Zara, from a few months ago already. The boots are from TikTok, though, and they are summer boots. They are so incredibly comfortable to walk in that it feels like you’re wearing slippers. But back to the countryside chic outfit. You quickly get a countryside vibe when you wear a checked skirt with boots. But this is version 2.1, I suppose you could say.

The checked skirt is definitely a summer skirt, it has quite a slit, so I think I will wear it more often with leggings. And the light colour is also more for now than for the colder season. I have always been a fan of the combination of brown and blue. And if you know me a little, you would think that I would have chosen a more matchy-matchy top or blouse. But that seemed too boring to me, and since blue and brown go perfectly together, I chose this baby blue blouse. With ruffles.
Balancing cool and warm: blue and brown

The blue isn’t in the skirt, and I’m not wearing it in the other accessories either. But it works for me. And this baby blue is a cool colour and isn’t really a good one for me. And yet, with the warm brown, it works! This suede-look jacket is from last winter and also gives off a bit of that countryside chic vibe. It reminds me of horseback riding, I don’t know why, as I don’t even ride horses.

Gold accessories complete the look. I think it is a lovely outfit. It brings me back to England a little bit. We haven’t been there for a year now and I miss it more and more. In July, I have to go back to the hospital for an update on the transplant list. Let’s hope I get a few more points added and that England gets a little closer. We are going to continue our holiday! I wish you a wonderful weekend.

And now it is time to join a Fancy Friday Fashion party!
Every Friday you can put your blog, or social media account, in the spotlights and meet other bloggers. Even if you’re not a blogger you can join! But it is a fun way to let others know about your blog posts, and to support each other. It would be nice if you would comment when you join the linkup party. I also pin my favourite on Pinterest.
My Fancy Friday Favourite of last week is: Daenel of Living Outside the Stacks

I would also appreciate if you shared a link to Nancy’s Fashion Style in your post or give a little shout out on social media to promote the Fancy Friday linkup party! And now share your post!
By joining the Fancy Friday party, you agree to receive a weekly reminder email for the linkup party.
So sorry you won’t have a UK holiday as I know you love coming here. I’m sure you will in the future. A great idea to show English style!
Oh I love this look! The skirt reminds me of my tartan high low skirt.

This is one lovely outfit! I really like it: it works together and I am loving the warm brown accents. I could see you riding a horse side saddle alongside a beautiful English castle.

Nancy, so glad you are enjoying a holiday! I am sure there are plenty of lovely places to go in your country for the present!. Love your outfit. It certainly does look like what I think an English countryside outfit would be like from the t.v. Brown and blue are a great combination, and I like the contrasting combination of ruffles and plaid together, too. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for hosting the party, even while you are away!
