Today I will show you one of my favorite dresses of the moment, my wrap dress from Lewes. My favorite designer is Diane von Furstenberg, because of her incredibly beautiful feminine wrap dresses. And I also bought this wrap dress in my beloved England. I already have two other dresses from Diane von Furstenberg, all pre loved by the way. Because otherwise I probably should have left it at just one.
I would also like to introduce you to my blogger friend Tania. Tania is the blogger of 50 is not old and lives in Virginia USA. You can feel the love for her family from her words. And the passion for clothing beauty and accessories radiates from her blog! Tania has been blogging for almost four years and calls her style,, classic meet trendy,,. She is honest, funny and quirky and always surprising! You’ve got to love her style! Take a look at her blog and see what I mean!
Back to the wrap dress
So I bought this wrap dress in England in February. In Lewes. I had been there before, it is a very nice town with many antique shops and also a shop where they sell beautiful and good second-hand clothing. It’s called Wear2. And now they had two DvF dresses. Unfortunately the other one didn’t suit me, just a bit too small. But it was a beautiful red dress in the shade of red that looked good on me too! Not all shades of red suit me well.
Wrap dress from Lewes
This wrap dress fitted perfectly and I also got 5 off. If you are in Lewes, I recommend that you definitely go shop at this store, and all the other lovely antique shops. There is also a huge antique shop in a church. It’s worth while if you love to shop for antiques and fun things. I think that next time we are in England, I will definitely stop by again. This dress fits really perfect. The other two that I already have are a size larger and actually a bit too wide at the top. I recently brought them to the tailor and she took it in a bit. I hope they fit better now, I have not tried them yet. But it would be a shame not to wear those dresses of course.
How I wear my wrap dress from Lewes
The photos for this weeks post were shot at the weekend, and it was very cold. I needed two wear cardigans the hole weekend. It was 9 degrees on Saturday, more winter then spring. I needed to wear tights too and boots. The dress is thin, it’s not a winter dress but I wanted to wear it. Look at the cuffs, so beautiful. Little buttons on each side. And the cute cardigan is one I love, I like golden buttons! And the fabulous statement ring is also from Lewes.
I would really appreciate it if you would share my outfit on Pinterest! Just hoover over the photo!
My favorite of last week is: Louisa of La Passion Voutee

Nancy you look amazing in your new DvF Dress! Congratulation you found it and it suits so well 🙂
Thank you very much!
As always, you know how to rock a wrap dress every time! And thank you for introducing Tania- while I live in Colorado now, my husband and I went to school in Central VA and raised our children there. In fact, we still own a home in Amherst, VA, Small, small world. 🙂
Ha, yes it is a small world! Perhaps you once crossed each other! Happy weekend love!
I love DVF too Nancy. The wrap dress is so versatile as you have shown here. Roll on better weather eh? xx
Hi Nancy –
I just popped over from Tania’s blog. I really like wrap dresses but haven’t seen much of them for awhile until recently. This one is great! The cardigan is very pretty and doesn’t detract from the dress. I find it hard to find one that looks good with a dress and I often need one for warmth.
Oh that is so very kind of you to pop over! I believe that almost any cardigan looks good on a dress, just choose a dress and a cardigan that you love and try it! I also need them for warmth! Have a great weekend love!
She has such fabulous, just thrilling, designs! Yes, in 10 days we will be in the UK and I really want to enjoy the beach!
Hi Nancy. Wrap dresses love you as well as you love them. You look very, very good in them. Keeping my fingers crossed for warmer temperatures in Holland. Love, Lieske
Thanks Lieske! Keep them crossed for the UK too in 10 days! Yeah! Happy weekend!

I am new to your blog and am from Tania-50 is not Old.
I enjoyed your blog immensely and did in fact pin your dress on Pinterest as I also like that style. Your background is lovely and makes me want to go out in the yard and plant more ivy and jasmine. I live in Florida so our weather is very different from yours, where you battle the cold we battle the mosquitoes.
Oh how lovely to ,,meet,, you! And how supportive you are! Thank you very much and I hope to see you more often!
I love wrap dresses! They’re so figure flattering! Yours is gorgeous!
Thanks dear Amy!
Oh my goodness, you did have cold weather! The dress is so pretty and Lewes sounds delightful. I really like the button details on your cardigan. Stay warm!
Hello! Tania sent me over and I’m glad she did. Love your style!

You have quite a collection of dresses! And all suit you well! I really like how the sleeves come out the wrist of your cardigan. Very classy!
Thanks Mireille, yes I do. I hardly ever wear trousers.
This wrap dress looks beautiful on you! DVF makes such great dresses. I hope it warms up soon!
Wow, your DVF dress is fabulous, Nancy! It’s very flattering and what a great print! I should definitely search out that shop when I ever visit Lewes again. xxx
Oh you should! It is a little shop but they have beautiful clothing!
Nancy, you look lovely in a wrap dress. And black is such a great classic to have on hand!
You’re too kind Nancy! Thank for the lovely feature. That Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress looks amazing on you. I’ve never worn any of her pieces but I love them.
My pleasure dear! Thanks!

I totally agree!
You do like the wrap-style dresses and it’s no wonder – they look amazing on you! This one is just beautiful and you’ve accessorized it so well. I think there are a lot of pieces we think of as “summer” but by adding a sweater, a cardigan, a jacket or leggings, we can extend it to the winter, as well (which 9C is considered here in Texas….dead of winter).
Haha, it was 9 degrees here last week and it is spring! Thanks Ruth!
Nancy, I love reading about your trips to England! And that dress is such a great find. DVF wrap dresses are so flattering, aren’t they?
I agree! They are the best wrap dresses!
I love a good wrap dress! DVF is the queen of wrap dresses and probably the reason why love them. Your dress is lovely and I love the way you styled it.
Thank you very much!
What a great dress on you! I have a DVF wrap dress in that same “scribble” pattern, but mine is sleeveless. Must wear it soon, but I’m mostly waiting for better/warmer weather.
Oh do wear it! I would like to see it!
Wrap dresses are work horses and life saviors!
I have never owned one by DVF but I have have tried them on at the store, somehow my boob is always left hanging out.
That’s a pitty because they are fabulous! Thanks Lorena
Love that wrap dress! And those flared sleeves! What a fun detail…
That dress is beautiful! The wrap dress is so flattering!
Love the print on that wrap dress.
Fabulous as always Nancy! I love a wrap dress – so classy and always chic!
Oh Nancy – I know Wear2 very well as that’s where I take my slightly ‘better’ clothes to sell!!!! Lewes is beautiful with those lovely little independent shops and quirky antique places. I’m so glad you love Lewes – it’s next to Brighton one of my favourite towns.
The dress is brill, btw, and you rock that look 🙂
Have a great w/e xxxxx
Ha ha, that’s just fantastic! We enjoy Lewes a lot and also love to go the park where they sell fabulous sandwiches!
Love to see how it fits you so well! Totally loving the wrap dress! Keep sharing such a wonderful style!
Thank you very much Hazel!
You truly are the woman that DianeVF designed the wrap dress for – they always look so perfect on you…and you in them!
Such a gorgeous dress and it looks amazing on you too! I really love how you style it! ??
Thank you very much!

Away From Blue
Thanks Mica! I hope you had a wonderful Mothersday!
You look stunning! I’m a big fan of wrap dresses. How lovely you own two DVF wrap dresses. DVF is not only a great designer, but a wonderful and inspiring lady as well. It’s great how Diane does so much charity work, I really admire that about her….and her designs are always amazing. I even drew some of her designs, she inspired two of my fashion drawings if I remember well. This wrap dress does look lovely on you. Beautiful styling.
I totally agree with you! Fantastic that you drew those designs!
Nancy, this is such a great dress! I love that it has a collar on the wrap style. Super cool. And that jacket is adorable. I see you are still wearing boots…is it still cold there, too? It has not warmed up here yet either.
Yes it was 9 degrees last week! Really awful! But now it is warming up a bit. Yes the collar is great right!
Love your dress, Nancy. Great style 🙂 Thanks for linking up to The Wednesday Blog Hop. Hope you can join me tomorrow 🙂
Ik vond de print prachtig. De lange mouwen wat minder, maar dat is een smaak kwestie, 3/4 was volgens mij mooier geweest.
Ja dat heb ik ook altijd liever. Draagt fijner en staat mooier!
I’m impressed! 99 comments on a blog post!
Excellent my friend!
I love your wrap dress and so happy to hear you have a yellow aura!
I knew you would!
Thanks! I thought I would have purple! I had years ago!
