This month the theme is metallics! Do you wear them? Let’s take a look at our metallic outfits! But first:
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Metallics!

I found these gold mules at DSW a few years ago and I couldn’t resist them. I even paid full price for them which I rarely ever do. They sort of screamed to my inner Carrie Bradshaw and I had to have them. I don’t wear them often but they are rather comfortable and absolutely a Good Buy! I feel super fancy when I put them on.

I love this rose gold, metallic blazer that I found second hand. I usually wear it around the holidays, but I’ve been wanting to pull it out for everyday!
This is Sheila of Ephemera
These are my Free People rose gold leather pants. I’ve worn them 9 times so far, and just love them. I wore them this week – to the office! – and did a Flashback on all my outfits with them here: https://sheilaephemera.blogspot.com/2020/07/black-and-white-and-space-pants.html.
They might be a little “out there” for some folks, but you never know what’s going to become a favorite until you try!

Three years ago, I was inspired to seek out and buy metallic loafers after meeting a very stylish woman who wore her classic white tee and jeans ensemble with a similar pair. Hers were a lovely shade of pewter and Gucci (which was way out of my price range). I was thrilled to find these look-alikes and opted for gold. Although I’ve not worn them much, I still consider these beauties to be a “good buy”. In an upcoming blog post, I’ll be showing them matched with graphic tee and lace blazer.

This metallic bag was a gift from a friend, it’s from Zara and comes in handy every so often. Here I worn it with a sweet little dress from M & Co along with my faithful jean jacket and navy wedges – all pulled together with a matching scarf!
And these are my metallics! 
I adore golden studs on anything, so this h&m tee is such a favorite of mine. And the metallic belt looks about good on anything! Def Good Buy’s both!

I have to admit that there aren’t all that many pure metallics in my wardrobe, apart, perhaps from a belt and a pair of ballerinas. Of course Sheila does rock her metallic trousers, but overall I prefer your understated way to wear this trend. xxx
