Yes, a mayor maintenance on myself! Haha, finally! It was about time. I went to the hairdresser, the nail stylist and to the clinic for a botox injection in my frown wrinkles. And this week the pedicure comes at our house! Haha, is that a major maintenance or what. It does make me feel good.

The past week started perfectly with a visit to the hairdresser. Gee what was I ready to that. I hadn’t been for five months! For the past few years I wanted to grow my hair long and it was actually really long, it came to the bra edge. But I never actually wore it loose because that made my face so drawy. I only had to say half a word to my amazing hairdresser and she immediately started telling me how she would cut it. A whole lot off! And I am happy with it! It looks so much better!
In the evening I had a Teams meeting of the lung fund. Tuesday was for working out although I still didn’t feel fit. Wednesday I had an appointment with Dr. pric, (haha, that’s how my sister calls him) Dr. pric is a GP who set up a clinic for skin care. I go there once in 8 months for a botox injection in my frown wrinkles. Thursday I didn’t work out at the gym, because I woke up with enormous cramps in my stomach. So weird, I have that about every six months. Sometimes I think I ate too much fiber! Does that exist? Eating too much fiber and that it is not good? Btw, the photos below don’t reflect my eating habbit! That’s just for the weekend.

I had to do a lot again this week, all of those little annoying things. The motor of the bed does not work anymore, so the main part cannot be lifted, the battery of my wheelchair is broken etc. All those things you have to call a company for and with all the waiting cue is about 15 minutes, I hate that. Friday cleaning day and fortunately I felt a little bit better.
On Saturday I worked out and did some closet cleaning and nothing else much. We had a lovely Saturday night again with lots of snacks! It was rainy all weekend and quite cold, but on Sunday afternoon we went to the national park to get some fresh air. It’s always relaxing. I hear quite a lot of people complaining about fatigue, it must be the tail end of winter. We are all ready for sun and warmth and going outside.
As it looks now, I will not be vaccinated until May! Ridiculous! What, we have to protect the vulnerable! I am at the same time as the healthy group of my age! Wednesday we can vote here in the Netherlands for a new government! Well I’m curious, not much will change, so much for democracy. Can you tell I am irritated….Does it make you happy when you can do a mayor maintenance on your self?

I’m glad you got to do all the maintenance things! I haven’t been doing much with my nails, but I keep looking at them thinking I want to. But then, do I want to do it myself, or wait until I can have them done? Decisions! May for your vaccine? Ridiculous! You should come ahead of healthy people.

Indeed! I am going to mail my lung doctor about it! I never did my own nails as they chip after two days and it isn’t worth the hard work for me!
it’s nice you got to have some appointments although it’s a shame you will have to wait for the vaccine – I hope things change and you are able to get it sooner!

Your cats are so cute and I love your hair!! It looks beautiful. All of that food looks delicious too. I am so sorry that you have to wait until May for your vaccine. That is very frustrating. Last week I heard a story on the news about the vaccine rollout in Europe and they talked about some of the challenges it is facing. Does it have anything to do with that? No it has to do that the government want the IC units cleared and so they look at what type of people lay there. And that are not lungpatients because they take good care of themselves!

Regarding the vaccination, I find it completely outrageous that you aren’t receiving your vaccine any sooner.

Yes I totally agree. Here in our village we have a person who is over weight because of drinking and eating fast food and he is already been vaccinated! I really hate that. Yeah, you should do a English breakfast and thentalk about holidays in the UK!

As a vegetarian I can confirm you can definitely get a sore stomach from too much fibre. Another thought, could your botox injection co-incide with the tummy ache (it is a poison)?

No, I had the stomach pain before botox and I only do two between my brows and I am doing that for years now.

Nancy, first of all, that first outfit photo is so good! I love that striped sweater with your cropped denim and boots. Super cool!
