Yes, a mayor maintenance on myself! Haha, finally! It was about time. I went to the hairdresser, the nail stylist and to the clinic for a botox injection in my frown wrinkles. And this week the pedicure comes at our house! Haha, is that a major maintenance or what. It does make me feel good.
Mayor maintenance for a positive feel
The past week started perfectly with a visit to the hairdresser. Gee what was I ready to that. I hadn’t been for five months! For the past few years I wanted to grow my hair long and it was actually really long, it came to the bra edge. But I never actually wore it loose because that made my face so drawy. I only had to say half a word to my amazing hairdresser and she immediately started telling me how she would cut it. A whole lot off! And I am happy with it! It looks so much better!
In the evening I had a Teams meeting of the lung fund. Tuesday was for working out although I still didn’t feel fit. Wednesday I had an appointment with Dr. pric, (haha, that’s how my sister calls him) Dr. pric is a GP who set up a clinic for skin care. I go there once in 8 months for a botox injection in my frown wrinkles. Thursday I didn’t work out at the gym, because I woke up with enormous cramps in my stomach. So weird, I have that about every six months. Sometimes I think I ate too much fiber! Does that exist? Eating too much fiber and that it is not good? Btw, the photos below don’t reflect my eating habbit! That’s just for the weekend.
Nothing exiting to do in the weekend
I had to do a lot again this week, all of those little annoying things. The motor of the bed does not work anymore, so the main part cannot be lifted, the battery of my wheelchair is broken etc. All those things you have to call a company for and with all the waiting cue is about 15 minutes, I hate that. Friday cleaning day and fortunately I felt a little bit better.
On Saturday I worked out and did some closet cleaning and nothing else much. We had a lovely Saturday night again with lots of snacks! It was rainy all weekend and quite cold, but on Sunday afternoon we went to the national park to get some fresh air. It’s always relaxing. I hear quite a lot of people complaining about fatigue, it must be the tail end of winter. We are all ready for sun and warmth and going outside.
As it looks now, I will not be vaccinated until May! Ridiculous! What, we have to protect the vulnerable! I am at the same time as the healthy group of my age! Wednesday we can vote here in the Netherlands for a new government! Well I’m curious, not much will change, so much for democracy. Can you tell I am irritated….Does it make you happy when you can do a mayor maintenance on your self?
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!
What a busy week filled with all sorts of activities. I understand your frustration of not getting the jab sooner, Nancy.
Thank you very much Anna.
I’m glad you got to do all the maintenance things! I haven’t been doing much with my nails, but I keep looking at them thinking I want to. But then, do I want to do it myself, or wait until I can have them done? Decisions! May for your vaccine? Ridiculous! You should come ahead of healthy people.
Indeed! I am going to mail my lung doctor about it! I never did my own nails as they chip after two days and it isn’t worth the hard work for me!
it’s nice you got to have some appointments although it’s a shame you will have to wait for the vaccine – I hope things change and you are able to get it sooner!
Hope your week is going well! It’s a rainy one here!
It’s a cold and rainy one here! But spring is just around the corner!
Yay for self care! Love this casual look on the beginning on the post. Have a wonderful week Nancy!
Thank you very much Kathrine. I hope Michael is doing fine!
Nou je haar ziet er weer op en top uit! 5 maanden?? is wel erg lang!
Ha, wat leuk om jou hier te lezen! Ja vreselijk! Maar nu krijg ik het niet meer zo mooi als bij de kapper!
Your hair looks great!
Yay! Great outfit and looks like an awesome self-care time! 🙂
Hope you have a great day,
Thank you very much!
Your cats are so cute and I love your hair!! It looks beautiful. All of that food looks delicious too. I am so sorry that you have to wait until May for your vaccine. That is very frustrating. Last week I heard a story on the news about the vaccine rollout in Europe and they talked about some of the challenges it is facing. Does it have anything to do with that? Is there a chance that might change for you? I hope that they do!!! I also hope that you have a wonderful week! XO, Caroline
No it has to do that the government want the IC units cleared and so they look at what type of people lay there. And that are not lungpatients because they take good care of themselves!
I see. I am so sorry to hear that and that is very frustrating. I hope that you can get one soon and honestly I just cannot wait until all of this is over!!!
Indeed! That we can go out and meet up with friends and family!
PEDICURE AT THE HOUSE IS A TERRIFIC SELF CARE THING TO DO!
I use to have a lady named LOVEY who came for $20.00!!That was over 30 years ago……BOY what a TREAT IT WAS!
Enjoy your PAMPERING!!
Haha, it is and I will! Thanks!
Wow, you look amazing after all the maintenance, Nancy! Your hair is fabulous. Isn’t it wonderful to have a hairdresser who needs only half a word?
Seeing your weekend food is making me quite hungry. Perhaps we should do English breakfast again on Saturdays, like we used to …
And aww, look at your two cats snuggling together! So cute!
Regarding the vaccination, I find it completely outrageous that you aren’t receiving your vaccine any sooner.
They’re really playing with people’s health, both here and in the Netherlands, it seems. What a poor performance! xxx
Yes I totally agree. Here in our village we have a person who is over weight because of drinking and eating fast food and he is already been vaccinated! I really hate that. Yeah, you should do a English breakfast and thentalk about holidays in the UK!
I’m sorry you can’t get your vaccine until May. It’s frustrating when those type of things are out of our control. But your hair looks amazing. I love that feeling of just having it cut and styled!!
Yes me too, although I can’t ever get it the way my stylist does!
As a vegetarian I can confirm you can definitely get a sore stomach from too much fibre. Another thought, could your botox injection co-incide with the tummy ache (it is a poison)?
No, I had the stomach pain before botox and I only do two between my brows and I am doing that for years now.
Yay! I bet that felt soo good to get all those things done. I am awaiting the end of April, to get a mani, pedi and maybe facial. IYour hair looks great and all of that sounds good. I love seeing cute jeans on you! Love the pictures , your kitties are so adorable. Hoping you get the vaccine too, it is crazy that you have to wait with a pre-existing condition!
thanks for linking!
Yes it is, but can’t do anything about it. Thanks Jess!
It stinks you have to wait until May to get the vaccine. I hope that changes.
Glad you got to the hairdresser – that is a treat after 5 months! Also good to hear you went out on Sunday to the park for some fresh air. We have had some beautiful days here and this everything because soon it will be too hot to get outside!
Oh can it ever get to hot? Haha, I really love the heat!
Love the hair! It looks amazing! Teachers here are now getting vaccinated. It seems to be moving along. Weather is really yucky and supposedly bad storms tonight or in the morning: not fun. It’s been a very busy week so far.
Thanks Mireille! I wished the sun was going to shine, makes the world look a bit better!
All that personal maintenance is so good for us – it can make us feel so much more like ourselves! Good for you, Nancy! I have been tempted by Botox (dentists do it here), but I kind of like my old face. 🙂
Love your outfits, and aw, look at those lovey kitties! Yes, you can get cramps from too much fibre, if you are not drinking enough water.
I would love to do a Zoom with you and Shelbee1
Thanks Sheila, I emailed you!
Yes, to the self- care! Your hair looks amazing, and I love your grey outfit!
Thank you very much!
Thats a very busy week! You look amazing Nancy!
Thank you very much Melissa!
Nancy, first of all, that first outfit photo is so good! I love that striped sweater with your cropped denim and boots. Super cool! I hope you can get bumped up for your vaccine especially since you told me about some others in your country who are delegated as needing a vaccine before you. How great that you got your pampering in as well. I haven’t had my hair cut since July and now my hairdresser has moved to a different state. I am going to have to go get it done soon though! Thanks for sharing your week and linking with me.
Oh that’s a bummer about your hairdresser! But don’t cut it short! That long hair looks so good on you.
Love the photo of the cats, all fluff and attitude
Thank you for linking with #pocolo and hope to see you back soon
Haha, oh yes, they sure have attitude! Thanks!
