Isn’t that a fun title! Shelbee’s idea! Love it. So blazers this month. Okay, I do have a few pre loved blazers and jackets in my closet and always on the hunt for more. Because I wear blazers and jackets not so often, and I do think they have to be a good quality. Pre loved is then a good option. It is always a good option actually!
Welcome to The Thrifty Six. We are a group of international fashion influencers who meet once a month in our little space on the internet to share our thrifty outfits. On the third Monday of every month, we will all share an outfit based on a theme that features pre loved wardrobe pieces. Shopping and reselling pre loved clothing is so much better for the environment and you can find some of the best fashions in thrift or charity shops. The Thrifty Six are here to inspire you to shop second hand.
We are trail blazers!
I had to ask Shelbee what it meant and after she explained I thought, what a perfect title for us! We lead you to the path of pre loved shopping! At least we hope we do.
My King Louie blazer is a cheerful one. With the cute little sailing boats on it, it brings me back to my favorite place on the world, Rye UK. Not that I bought it there, but just the memories of holidays, the beach, the harbor. Aren’t those the best clothes!
Lets take a look at my fellow trail blazers!
Emma of Style Splash
I found this Escada blazer in a charity shop a few years ago for the bargain price of £5.99…I couldn’t believe my luck! For a really bold colour combination I decided to pair it with bright orange trousers – a first for me! I’ve layered the blazer over a paisley blouse and added more purple with a dainty bag – both fab charity shop finds too!
Grace of Graceful Rags
Recognize this thrifted blazer?! I thought you might! I wore it for last month’s collaboration and figured the ‘trail-blazers’ theme was the perfect excuse to style it again in a different way. This time I picked a bold red top, cropped flared jeans (all the rage these days), and snakeskin sandals for a more casual, springy look. Love how it came together!
Jane of Preloved-Vintage-Handmade
Does anyone remember Miami Vice…
In this crazy Hawaiian print blazer, I could easily be a little crime-busting side-kick for Crockett and Tubbs.
There’s definitely something about it reminding me of that cheesy 80’s TV show.
Get a load of the colours and the zany tropical print and doesn’t it look sensational against this azure sky.
It’s a genuine 80’s vintage menswear piece that works perfectly for Spring / Summer 21 and it truly lifts my spirits every time I wear it!
Lucy of Confessions of a Montreal Styling Diva
It’s trailblazer time in my wardrobe- so let me introduce you to my ‘piece de resistence’ – my very own pioneer when it comes to blazers. This versatile houndstooth beauty with a purple faux fur collar – styled on or off, was a lucky estate find of mine- seriously!
I was eyeing this lady who was holding onto it for dear life, until she decided it was just too tight and put it back!! Lucky me snatched it up! It’s actually two sizes too big, but I don’t care; I moved the button and just wear it loosely, with flair. And notice those ribbon latches on the sleeve cuffs- they’re a conversation piece every time. It’s definitely my favourite blazer. Isn’t it just divine?!
Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I found this camel colored mini corduroy men’s blazer on a recent thrifting trip for 50% off its $6.99 price tag. Am not sure what decade this blazer came from but it is definitely vintage. I layered it over a black thrifted sweater dress, added some leopard print tights and thrifted leather booties to complete this easy blazer outfit. Won’t you stop by my blog for more details!
And that’s it for this month! We hope you enjoyed our trail blazer theme!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!
Super cute outfit, Nancy! I really like the way your blazer is tailored. And it looks great with the orange dress.

And I actually never wore them! I was more a cardigan fan, but not anymore, still love cardigans of course!
Nancy, I absolutely love your blazer! The fit and the colors and the print are so great. It looks fabulous over this dress, too! I am so glad hat you liked my post theme and title! I do like to get creative with word play as well as style. Haha. I don’t remember who is up next for choosing the theme, but as always I am looking forward to it! Looking forward to our Wednesday chat as well!

Thanks Emma!
I just love blazers, and I’ve actually lost count of how many I’ve got in my closet. All but one pre-loved, too. I even have a King Louie one, but yours, with its jaunty sailing boats, is so much nicer. I’ve actually got blazer envy 🙂 xxx

Yes me too and the title!
Thanks for sharing this great find on the #AgelessStyle linkup. Anything that reminds me of the beach is a winner in my book. I like the pairing of this blazer with that bright orange dress. Divine. You wear that color so well. What a fun series. Wish I could come across great pieces in our local thrift stores.
