I have had this gold silver dress in my closet for a while now. Bought when I thought there should be some glitter in my closet. Still agree with that thought, I need a sequin top too! Lol. I am not a silver lover at all, but a gold dress alone can seem very trashy on me. Although I’ve been looking for a nice golden sweater for ages. Laura was wearing a, to me, perfect one that she considers a Good-Bye.
How the h… do I style a gold and silver dress
Anyway, this gold and silver dress. I think it is very beautiful, has a v-neck which I find ideal, the length is good, it fits perfectly. But I just don’t know what to wear with it. I feel it needs something bright otherwise it feels a bit funeral ish to me, don’t know why, I am a bit weird… But on the other hand I don’t even like anything bright on this dress. White….mm….don’t really like white. Black seems the best option for me but yes, that funeral thing. Green? Blue? Matchy matchy or not. Bookend way (yes Sheila, I blame you!)
Not so easy gold and silver dress
So, actually this seemed like such a simple dress to me, but it isn’t. I can’t wear too many accessories because then it quickly becomes way too much with that gold and silver. I don’t really like adding a color. Should I leave it with just the dress and ankle boots? No, I added this lovely short jacket that also has a bit of gold in it! This is the best option for me. No statement jewelry, but cool boots. And that cool jacket.
Would this be one of my favorite dresses? Yes, because I really think it’s a lovely one and I think I can add a long wool black cardigan when it gets cold and it would still look good. Because of the different textures. But I would like to hear your suggestions!
