Quirky color combinations, lilac and orange

quirky color combinations in fashion

I already wanted to try different quirky color combinations when I bought this skirt in  spring. Black would be the most obvious for me. But that doesn’t compliment this skirt in my eyes.

*As we have vacation now, I won’t be publishing this Friday and next Tuesday. But I will keep you up to date on Instagram. Hope to ,,see,, you all in September again!

I also bought this cardigan at the same time as the skirt. Only when I first showed you the skirt, did I completely forget that I had it. And I bought a lilac, orange and bright pink sweater especially for under the cardigan. Also not worn yet. So I wanted to wear a lot of color together, in a way that I will not often do. But I was in a color full mood as to say! I bought the mules in May in Hastings at Primark. I’ve always loved mules and in that wonderfully bright orange they are just lovely.

So I bought tops in all the colors that the cardigan has and I can’t say that I like one best. In fact, they can all be fun to wear with this tweed skirt and cardigan. If dark purple would suit me, I would like to wear a dark purple  chunky sweater and purple over the knee boots for fall. But unfortunately, I don’t like purple that much, and it also doesn’t look good on me. Actually I think I don’t like purple because it doesn’t suit me. And different shades of green would look fabulous too with lilac. But over the knee suede boots are definitely on my wish list.

I have already seen very beautiful ones at Zara’s. Oh the fall collection of Zara is so magnificent. I want everything! No not really, but their boot collection always comes close to perfection.

How I wear Lilac and Orange

So for today’s outfit I am wearing a lilac skirt, orange mules, a purple lilac and orange cardigan and a orange top. Perfect for a sunny day! I also added some colorful accessories, lilac ring, pink bracelets and pink and lilac loops. And I am wearing a lilac scarf in my hair! I am curious what you think of this quirky color combination!

This is a fabulous colour combination – I adore purple (any shade) with orange, and I even have a pair of shoes in lilac and orange (they would go fabulously with this outfit).
