Okay, you all know I’m not a fan of jeans. But this puffed sleeves blouse just needs jeans! I only have one, or actually two, a culotte too. (this one I gave away, not my thing) But this one I’m wearing today, really needs to be replaced. It was a boyfriend jeans and it had a bit of a worn-out look to it, but now the jeans are too tight and have holes in them. Me and clothes with holes! My grandmother would turn in her grave…
White puffed sleeves blouse needs jeans
But this blouse just screams for jeans. I saw this puffed sleeves blouse on Laurie’s blog. I ordered the blouse immediately when I saw it. While I never wear white. I also wouldn’t know what else I’m going to wear it with, other than jeans. I am planning to buy another pair of jeans, then this one can go. (as if this one only can go when I replace it) But I would like a Levi’s. And for that I have to go to a store because I have no idea which one would look the best on me. I am thinking the classic 501. And while in our stores only idiots walk around, I don’t want to go to that shop either. Well, of course I am not in such a hurry as I think I wear jeans once a year….
Puffed sleeves white blouse, classic with a trendy twist
These jeans are actually very nice, or they were. And I think it’s a pretty cool look with such a classic white blouse and a heel. But why do I wear almost never jeans you might ask? Because everyone wears it! In my part of the Netherlands, the east, everyone wears jeans. Not necessarily because they like it, but because it is easy. Damn! Wearing clothes out of convenience! Not really for me. I never did, I think I was the only one at school who didn’t wear jeans. Yes, I hated it that early. But with this simple, super cheap, and very nice puffed sleeves blouse it is just a classic style. And hey, I like that!
Shop the puffed sleeves look!

You look really good in jeans, Nancy, but I do understand your point. And yes, the white blouse with the jeans – fantastic! I prefer jeggings in many colors. I don’t have any jeans either. Well, I didn’t. I ordered some and they are too big, so I still don’t. Like you, I don’t want to go into any of the stores.
Jeggings suit me better too. No shops are a real horror!
The jeans and blouse do look so good together! i’m definitely a fan of the ease of jeans – especially for mum life! I noticed I was wearing a lot of blue jeans though so I try not to wear them – instead of having 20+ pairs I only have one pair of blue jeans now and I haven’t worn them in a while. I certainly still wear jeans though, just colourful ones or printed ones, no more classic blue!
Thanks for the link up 🙂
Hope you have been having a good week 🙂
Thanks Mica, I like colored jeans better then the blue ones! Have a great weekend!
Wow you look fab in jeans. love your birds ?
I’ll bet you have a bird necklace or two! Thanks Tina!
Dear Nancy, it is really very unusual to see you in jeans. But you’re absolutely right that this great blouse screams for jeans. This cool outfit suits you very well.
Have a nice weekend!
Thanks Nadine, that is very kind of you! Have a great weekend!
I love you in these jeans Nancy and that top does seem to scream “wear with denim” ! The whole outfit is one I’d wear in a heartbeat!
Thanks so much for choosing my look from last week – what a sweet surprise!
Have a wonderful weekend my friend!
Thank you very much Kellyann, have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for the link-up
Nancy you look great in jeans but I get where you’re coming from as you have such a fab collection of clothes and look so stylish in so many different outfits so why wear jeans. But you look really good in them so do get another pair! On the other hand, of course, it’s a no to going to an actual shop.
I got 4 pairs of jeans online from Marks & Spencers and they really fit well. Great blouse btw. Have a lovely weekend 🙂
No I avoid shops like the plage! Thanks Penny, have a great week!
Nancy, it is so weird to see you in jeans, but they look so great on you! I love this outfit. That top is so pretty and there is something so classic that always works with jeans and a white top. Your sandals are magnificent as well! I used to hate jeans when I was younger and didn’t own any until I was in my 30’s. Now I love them!
Oh don’t love them to much dear, you are far to unique to wear jeans!
Ha. You are so sweet! But I still do love my jeans!
Haha, wear what you like love, you look good anyway!
I love seeing you in jeans once in a while! I agree that the top must be with the jeans. The sleeves are gorgeous! Thanks for the link up!
Those jeans look great on you and I agree, this top is perfect with them! I can’t get enough of the puff sleeve trend! Thank you for the linkup!
Jill – Doused in Pink
And it is going to stay in fall too! Thanks Jill!
Really nice outfit and I specifically love your sandals.
Thanks , I love those too!
The blouse is all kinds of fabulous & it is so so perfect with jeans! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Debbie, have a great start of the week!
I’m not a fan of jeans either! But with a crisp white blouse with dreamy sleeves- wow- I love this! Looking fab my friend:) xx
Oh, how I hate it if people say they are wearing a particular item of clothing as it is easy or convenient! I’m not a fan of jeans either, although I wore jeans frequently in the past. I now have one worn pair – which I use for heavy duty gardening work – and a classic dark denim boot-cut one, which I don’t think I’ve ever worn. The crisp, classic white puff-sleeved blouse does indeed go very well with jeans, although I’m sure that – it being classic plus a neutral – it could be worn with quite a lot of your trousers and skirts! I’m head over heels with that cute bird necklace, by the way! xxx
Yes that necklace and the shoes are the best part of this outfit!
Love this chic casual outfit! You look great in jeans, and the puff sleeve blouse seems perfect with them. Hope you have a nice weekend and thanks for the link up!
Thanks for joining Di and have a great start of the week!
That bird necklace is so sweet! I do love a pair of jeans and a white blouse but barely ever wear them together. You look really great in this outfit!
Thank you very much Mireille!
I love this outfit and your jeans are very cute. I have copied it today, but need jeans like yours! Shame you can’t chuck them my way (I wouldn’t fit into them though) Have a super weekend. Jacqui x
Haha I will bring them whenever I can visit the UK again!!
You really caught my attention, because I *know* you don’t wear jeans. They look phenomenal on you, though, my friend! When I was in HS, I only wore jeans on Fridays, how times have changed! Good luck on finding a new pair!
Haha, why on Fridays?
Well I know you dont wear jeans, but these look great on you with the puffy top. A great white top! It is something to find the perfect jean and I do like the boyfriend style. Hope you find the Levis you like!
I think it’s nice to have the variety of wearing jeans. I’m like you in that I rarely wear them, but occasionally is fun!!
And you distressed these yourself…now that’s the perfect way to have fun with the trend, LOL
Haha, and I wanted to throw them away now, but I found myself wearing them yesterday on the bicycle again……
I never wear jeans either – there are so many other more interesting styles and fabrics of trousers to wear! Jeans just feel so boring to me. I do love your white shirt, but I like white shirts mostly for layering under jackets, etc.
Thanks for the link-up party, Nancy! I’m joining with my “fall-ified” summer outfit.
I even don’t wear white blouses. Also very boring. Don’t understand why everyone loves this look! I am glad you think it’s boring too, lol!
I completely agree that this top just screams jeans and this is a perfect looking outfit you pulled together!
Love the way you interpreted it, Nancy. 🙂
And you are quite right in really wanting to try on your Levi’s. I own quite a few in different styles. And I was glad I tried them on at the store…
It is the California soul in my loving denim…thank you for signing up again. You know have been having some major blog issues. May have found the bug. But really appreciate it xxxx Fijn Zondag. Sabina
Thanks Sabina! I hope your blog runs good again!
Girl, I hope everyone’s reactions to your jeans outfit will convince you to wear more jeans!! This is such a great look. So versatile. You could wear it out for running errands (or riding bikes??!!) or you could wear it for a lunch date. You look absolutely smashing.
I think I will stick with the cycling one! Lol. But thanks Leslie, that is very kind of you!
Jeans look great on you! I like how you paired the blouse, jeans and the accessories. The bird necklace is just so cute.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for hosting and the reminder, Nancy 🙂 Love this look.
You look in jeans Nancy, regardless whether they are popular in your neck of woods or not. I have a couple of pairs in my closet and although I don’t wear them every day, I do put them on occasionally. The white blouse is very nice, have you tried it with very slim fitting pants or maybe a pencil skirt?
I think a pencil skirt is a good idea! Thanks Anna!
This outfit is so cute, Nancy!! I do really love the jeans with this look. But I like your outlook on jeans in general – who wants to wear clothes out of convenience? Ha! I love it.
Hope your week is off to a great start. 🙂
Miles of smiles,
Thanks Grace, that is very kind of you!
I know what you mean about jeans. I only wear them at times when I’m at my best weight! But you’ve created a great combo here with the crisp blouse and jeans.
I love love love a white crisp top with jeans. Such a fabulous classic look! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love your outfit, you look great! A white top and jeans is seriously my favorite outfit ever!
Life is a Shoe
Haha, really? Thanks!
Ohh, I just adore those white boots on you! And, I DO like the olive coloring of this shirt dress… which, you totally make me want to get a shirt dress now, it looks so comfy yet chic!
Oops! Somehow I wrote this on the wrong post. :O I can’t delete, but going to go leave it on the correct post! Lol! Having a moment here.
Thanks again! Lol!
