Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Orange!

I freaking love my orange tights from Sock Dreams! Such a great buy. And I was worried that I wouldn’t have many occasions to wear this color on my legs, but they are so fun that I wear them quite often.

This orange skirt was a great buy because even though I bought it for a vacation back in 2012, I still love it just as much today. It makes the perfect date night outfit with a black mock-neck top and edgy heels, but it would look just as good dressed down with a pair of sandals.

The cold shoulder top is from Matalan and is so versatile, it’s a slinky fabric that looks good with jeans, skirts and these wide leg trousers.

The top which i recently featured in a blog post is an old buy from Old navy. Since it is very flowy, i usually either knot it or pair it with fitted bottoms. I love the pop of color! Orange is fun!

I love orange with red and orange with pink. This top looks so vibrant, just a bit of sun in a outfit. It’s a old one but lately I only think of it as a Good Buy!

Was so sad not to get into this line up. I am sorry I sent my outfit late. Will try to get better on top of things for August. LOVED this theme. Orange. Who knew? I think one of my first orange pieces was an oxford cloth button down that had an embroidered patch about reading that I bought at a library conference. Not sure what prompted me to buy orange but I had many compliments when I wore that shirt. Probably need to work more orange into my closet.
I love everyone’s looks. Orange is a color that has a kind neutral quality to it. Looks good with so many colors. And denim!
