I already bought these olive green combat trousers in the winter and now wearing it with summer-ish pink. They are super comfortable and I think they look cool. I choose to size up because these look better a bit baggy in my eyes. So of course I also wear it in the warmer months. But in a completely different way. With a little more colour.
Olive green trousers and pink blouse
I like this olive green best with pink. The cool look of olive green with the cuteness of pink. But I also see quite a lot olive green combined with yellow, or with white. I like that very much too, so I’m going to try that. White anyway, I don’t think I have anything in yellow. Oh yes, I have a yellow cardigan, I digress, back to olive green and pink!
I opted for a linen blouse. I also have this amazingly cute eyelet blouse, but because I wanted to wear these light sandals underneath, I wanted a bit more colour at the top. The eyelet blouse also only looks good if I have been well tanned by the sun. I’m a high contrast type so those very soft colours don’t suit me in principle.
The only linen item I own, a pink blouse
The blouse is linen. I’ve never been fond of linen. Those eternal creases, they drive me crazy. But I must admit that it is nice and cool on the very hot days. So a linen blouse is okay for me, not skirts and trousers. They always sized up after one wear, I remember from my working days. We always changed in the morning, before opening the store, in clothes from the store. But never linen, otherwise the size didn’t match anymore, and we still had to sell it of course.
Pink earrings, pink rings and some gold stuff, also gold looks very good with olive green. The sandals are old and never worn……..They are cute and have a very comfortable heel, but my feet look flat in them…..I need to get over that, the sandals are too cute! Stop fussing! But actually, my feet did get flatter over the years. I used to have slim small feet and now I have half a size bigger flatter feet. Gosh, what menopaiuse can do to a woman!

Olive green is such a classic neutral and I always think it looks good with a brighter color, so you’ve tried some great looks. I love it with red too!

Indeed, and for a blouse it isn’t that bad. I really don’t want to wear linen trousers!
Olive green and pink is one of my favorite color combos! Love this breezy look! You look so chic!
Jill – Doused in Pink
Ooh, I love the olive and bright pink combination, Nancy! Those pants are super cool and I really love this shade of pink on you. I always like the way linen blouses look but I never like the way feel against my skin so I rarely wear linen. Your accessories are all totally adorable, too! Fun outfit, my friend. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Great combo Nancy! I love the pants and of course the pink linen top. I know what you mean about the creasing with linen but it sure does work in the heat!

Olive green and pink is indeed a perfect combo, and I think that cute eyelet blouse will look fab with those trousers as well. I never knew linen sized up after one wear, but then again, I don’t think I’ve got anything which is 100% linen in my wardrobe … Oh the creases, they drive me mad 🙂 Funny about your feet being half a size bigger – mine half actually shrunk half a size. Crazy menopause indeed! xxx

I wished mine shrunk! Haha, but yes crazy menopause. It’s more horrible then I would ever thought!
That’s a wonderful color combination! The sized up pants look great – perfectly slouchy but not baggy.
Author
Indeed, slouchy! Thank you Sally!
Gosh, I adore this outfit and cargo pants are the bomb.
Do you think that linen material has changed over the years?? Maybe the linen blends?? I think they ought to combine linen with spandex…that would help, LOL

I have never thought of pairing olive with pink but this is a fabulous outfit. I think that style of pant looks better oversized too.

Thanks! I saw it on another woman fitted, didn’t like that all.

This is lovely together and those trousers really suit you Nancy. I had an olive green pair ages ago but got rid because they were too big. Think I’d fit them now!! Jacqui x

Pink and olive is such a lovely colour combination. My feet seem to be constantly getting bigger and flatter – I have to wear men’s running shoes! I wish I had nice slim feet without bunions.
