It’s time to send us your Good Buy or Good-Bye photos. And the theme for February is a easy one, as it is super trendy this season. It’s Suede! I wore it a lot in the late 80’s. Coats, trousers, skirt, I had it all. Gosh, how I wished I had photos from that time. And not only from that time. I have hardly any photos from myself from my life before Gerben. Such a pitty. Anyway, we hope you like to join us and put your suede clothing in the spotlight.
Just a friendly reminder for The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book.
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
Send us a photo of your favourite, or not so favourite Suede cloting!
You can send either a Good Buy, a suede item that you are thrilled about, or a suede item that you are going to say Good-Bye to. Write a few lines why it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye or send in both! I usually think of suede as a fall material. We have more than 2 feet of snow on the ground, so suede footwear especially doesn’t make sense. In fact, sadly I just gave away a beautiful pair of olive green chunky heels that I never wore. But go sued!

I wear a suede jacket and a skirt now, but boots also not, we have snow here too.

I know you are going to be shocked by this one, but I don’t own a single suede item. Not even a purse! I had the most luscious suede jacket in the 70s. It had really cool seaming, a little bit of fringe, and was a beautiful cognac color. I honestly cannot remember what happened to it.
