Honey? What has that got to do with Nancy’s Fashion Style? This is a very rare post for me because it doesn’t have much to do with fashion. But there are a lot of honey products for health and beauty out there. And sometimes a company comes your way and then you think: mm, actually this comes at a good time. Let me explain.
Honey for Health and Beauty
I have had eczema in my face for quite a few months now. Never had it and suddenly you are disturbed by the itch. And it doesn’t make me happy about those nasty red spots around my eyes either. I have already been to the doctor but then you get cortisone cream and I am not a fan of using it in my face for a long time. Now I still suffer from it, but I do not want to go to the doctor for a while. Because of Corona.
And then I was allowed to work with this company,Lekker Honing, and I saw that they had something against eczema in the face. And also something to increase your resistance. Well we can all use a bit more of that at the moment don’t we! Let’s take a look at the products I picked out.
Honey products I choose
What did I choose? A balm for the eczema. A very powerful balm for dry skin. It is very sticky and quite difficult to spread, but the spots on my face are already a lot less dry after applying twice. This is Propolis powder. A powder that, for the best result, you mix with the honey and then you take two teaspoons every day for your resistance. I am doing it! And Gerben too! I don’t like honey as honey. I love it in sweets and in food but not the liquid version out of a jar. So I did mix the powder with the honey and I eat it every day, twice a day and I think it’s not nice. But…I was not feeling good at all last Friday, and I feel strong again now!
Raw honey, delicious to eat! Haven’t tried it yet but Gerben loves it. You can do it in your tea or yoghurt or just eat it as a sweet.
And cough drops. I love honey candies, love sweets anyway! Good for your throat! Tasty products eh! And very good for health and beauty! Take a look at the Lekker Honing site and if you want to order something use the code beehappy5 for a 5% discount!

I’m a great fan of Manuka Honey as it has very good healing and anti-bacterial properties, but rather like you I don’t like honey to actually eat – it’s far too sweet! Have a good weekend and keep well xxx

I love the sweetness, but just honey, no!
This is interesting Nancy. I will pass this info onto my son. My grandson has eczema. Have a lovely weekend xx

Does it? Do you know why?
I think it would be great to try raw honey in my greek yogurt. Sometimes I drizzle honey on it and it’s such a treat – I bet the raw variety is even better!

I didn’t know either but it really helps!
Oh wow, Nancy! These products look great! I have this terribly itchy patch of eczema on my left shin that has been driving me crazy for over a year. I have tried so many things and I cannot get relief and I cannot get it to go away. I am going to have to look into some honey products! For the itchy spots on my face, I take a tablespoon of flaxseed oil every day and that has helped tremendously. I am so glad that you tried these honey products and shared with us. I had no idea and I am totally intrigued!

You should really check if you can get propolis balm. I am almost eczema free now! It is horrible to have it in our face right!I also tried everything, but this helps a lot!
I canāt find this same brand on Amazon and I canāt read the website for this one! LOL. But I found some that have the propolis beeswax for treating eczema. I am going to order it and I will let you know how it works!
Author
Okay, the important thing is propolis powder!
Why do I often neglect honey!
Thank you for the reminders and extra info. š

We eat local honey especially during allergy season and also with raspberry tea when the kids have a cold. I really haven’t use any honey products other than lip balm.

Thanks Kim!
I don’t think I’ve ever bought a single honey product, ever! It’s not something we had growing up (as a sweetener or condiment), and I just never buy it.
Thanks for the link-up, Nancy! I’ll be along shortly.
Author
I also never did! Until this company mailed me!
I’ve heard about honey being good for eczema and also for asthma. I have suggested it to my daughter, but so far she hasn’t tried it. I will ask her to try it again from someone local. Thanks for sharing. Jacqui x
