Before I start my week, I want to ask you something, where are you bloggers? I’ve noticed that, especially in recent weeks, I’ve been missing a lot of my “regular” readers. Those who have been dropping by the linkup party for years and leaving a nice comment. Where are you? Now, I know blogging is becoming less and less popular, but I’m talking about those who have always been faithfully blogging themselves. Have you gotten a little tired of my stories? Do you only comment after I’ve visited your blog? It’s not a reproach or anything, but I miss you and would like to know the reason, if there is one.
Where are you all, lovely bloggers?
- We made a poke bowl on Saturday, with fresh tuna.
- All the ingredients, so delicious.
- Sunday we made a fish salade! And non alcoholic rose, actually pretty good.
I think it’s a shame that we’re supporting each other less and less, and I’d like to do something about that if I can. And I’m not saying this to whine for more followers, readers, or whatever. I just think it’s a shame that the blogging scene I’m in is slowly dying out. I still get a lot of enjoyment out of blogging, it’s still my passion. So let me know. Why are you less visible, less present (to me)? Is it because you’re more active on social media, or is life just busy enough as it is? So, where are you bloggers?
And now I’ll continue with my week.
Last Friday I had to go to the hospital for a CT scan. Well, that was done quickly, no big deal. And then on to cleaning. The weekend was wonderfully relaxing. Saturday, some friends dropped by unexpectedly, and we caught up with them. And on Sunday we went for an hour bicycle ride. I was curious how that would go because I was still sniffling and having a lot of shortness of breath. My legs were a bit wobbly at first, but otherwise it was very nice. The sun was shining beautifully, so I wasn’t even cold.
How was my week
- Wednesday outfit, easy outfit as I wasn’t feeling to well.
- Monday’s outfit, I don’t like the boots under it, but love these trousers and the jumper with blouse as you can see.
- Thursday outfit, I see a theme this week, lol.
Monday, laundry, etc., and that evening the interior stylist came up with a plan for our living room. We were pleasantly surprised that she thought we should embrace white! But with ecru and sand tones, and walnut as an accent. And lots of other ideas we can work with. Tuesday I also worked out again, but at home. Going to the gym is still too tiring for me. And in the afternoon, I had a lovely Zoom chat with my dear friend Shelbee. On Wednesday, back to the hospital for the CT scan results.
My pulmonologist really took her time, which is very helpful. The CT scan showed that there are quite a few infections in my lungs. So, it’s not surprising that I’m extremely short of breath. I was actually quite happy with the results because I was worried there might be something wrong with the valves, which would mean I’d have to undergo surgery. So, back on antibiotics and prednisone. My pulmonologist also thought it would work against me not to come across as someone so ill, but I am on the transplant list. She’s going to mention this to the transplant team, because they don’t know me well. They might think I do better then I actually am. That’s great, having a pulmonologist like that is worth her weight in gold. Thursday I went to the nailstylist. I didn’t exercise because that’s too much. Today is not a cleaning day, but a funeral and a birthday. Enjoy your weekend.
- Bare legs! It was nice warm on Monday.
- You know where I am! At the nailsalon! With candy.
- The ideas of the interiour stylist. Embracing white, as we now only have white, with a twist to the 70’s!
And now it is time to join a Fancy Friday Fashion party!
Every Friday you can put your blog, or social media account, in the spotlights and meet other bloggers. Even if you’re not a blogger you can join! But it is a fun way to let others know about your blog posts, and to support each other. It would be nice if you would comment when you join the linkup party. I also pin my favourite on Pinterest.
My Fancy Friday Favourite of last week is: Pamela of Style Yourself Confident

I would also appreciate if you shared a link to Nancy’s Fashion Style in your post or give a little shout out on social media to promote the Fancy Friday linkup party! And now share your post!
By joining the Fancy Friday party, you agree to receive a weekly reminder email for the linkup party.

Great news about your bike ride, and about not needing surgery but antibiotics. Sounds like you had a great week. I’m with you on wondering where the bloggers have gone. I’m considering about the future of my link-up, as I pay for the premium version of Inlinkz and it doesn’t seem worth it now. Sad, because like you I’m still passionate about blogging.

I pay for InLinkz to but it is not that much. My server cost a lot, I thought of Substack, but find that not nice. Old school is better!
Hey Nancy, I definitely feel like blogging has dropped off a bit over the last few years. I am guilty myself of commenting less because life got really busy as my kids got a little older. But I am trying to get back to reading and commenting more. It is a struggle for me though. I can’t blame people for visiting and commenting less on my blog because I deserve it. LOL But you do not! You have always remained very interactive and involved with other blogs and bloggers in this community and I appreciate you so much for it! I enjoyed our monthly Zoom as usual and look forward to our April call! I am so glad that your infection is not too terrible and you are starting to feel a little better now. Love you, friend!

Thanks Shelbee. Yes it was a Zoom with tears and laughter! It always feels like we are not that distaned!
You’re a real trooper Nancy, keep that wonderful positive outlook and I’m sure the future holds better health for you.
Blogging, yes, a big question mark over it and difficult to understand. Too much interactive stuff on the web perhaps that doesn’t require the little effort of reading content! I only know one way of doing things so will continue for the moment, these things have a way of turning on themselves, let’s hope!
Thank you so much for featuring my post from last week.

Thank you very much for sharing your take on things. I like blogs much better then social media! My pleasure Pamela.
I am also seeing less comments on my blog Nancy. Not sure what is going one. It seemed like there was a resurgence but It went away again. I will always stop by because I love hearing about what’s going on in your life. Sorry about all the infections but it glad it doesn’t require surgery. So glad you have that pulmonologist. She is a keeper!

Oh I appreciate that Kathrine! Thank you so much for your comments!
I am seeing fewer comments, too, Nancy! Not sure what is going on.

Thanks Jennifer!
I noticed the same thing, Nancy! I see less people linking up on certain blogs and I definitely have seen some decline in comments. I don’t know if it is just a busy time for people or a busy life season. I really still enjoy my blog visiting each week and the connections so I try to keep commenting. For me, blogging is a fun outlet and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon.

Me neither Mireiile! We are old school, lol!
I’m glad to hear about your pulmonologist. It’s so important to have a doctor who’s there for you, listens, and also stands by you.
I hope the antibiotics will be helping you.

Yes that is very important! Thanks Cat!
Nancy, I have noticed less engagement and less sharing and blog link ups, too. I love the longer format of blogging. I think it is much more engaging than Instagram and Tiktoc, and the myriad of other social media platforms. There is so much out there vying for everyone’s attention, I think that people’ attention is spread very thin. So glad that you have a top-notch pulmonologist and also that your lung infection can be cleared up and you will soon feel better from the antibiotics. Hope you have a nice weekend and thanks for sharing and the link up!

Yes, and I don’t like social media that much anymore. I love the way we blog! Thank you very much Di, have a great weekend.
I have only been blogging for about five years so I don’t have a huge following. I’m very happy you are one of them. A very big blogger told me no one reads blogs anymore though she still blogs. I love blogging, don’t like Instagram, and have never tiktoked. I considered Substack where I’m told all the action is right now. But, I think I’m going to stick with what I’ve created. I am way behind on reading and commenting on blogs because of Mike’s surgery. I’m hoping to get caught up this weekend.
I’m so glad your pulmonologist is going to fight for you and the transplant list. And, as weird as it sounds, I’m glad they discovered infection as the reason for your short breath. Thanks for the link up!
Author
I thought of Substack too, but also stick with what I am doing because that is satisfying for me. Oh you always comment Marsha! Yes me too!
I will be honest, I am definitely less visible on social media the past 2 years and I only do about 2 posts a week now just because it is a busy time during our lives with all our children’s activities. I still love blogging and would love to be more ‘present’ when things aren’t so hectic!
Author
Yes, that’s it right, life just gets to busy. Thank you for responding Laura, I appreciate that!
I’m glad to hear that you don’t need surgery. I hope the antibiotics work quickly for you. I’ve noticed a downturn in blogging lately. I have to admit that I’m sometimes guilty of not interacting when life gets busy, but I’m trying to put aside times to concentrate on visiting blogs and joining in linkups. It’s important to keep blogs going!

Yes I think so too Emma. Thank you for giving me your thoughts about it!
I’m seeing fewer comments on my blog too but I only blog once a week. I also rarely post on Instagram anymore. I’m always crunched for time and these things take the back burner. I still love visiting blogs though. I prefer that to Instagram and Tik Tok.
