April’s theme is Florals! Such a happy theme. However you could have read here that it is not a easy theme for me, lol. I wanted a floral dress but can’t find a perfect one. So I will show you some older ones on our blogs, wished I had hung on to those…..that happens when you are such a impulsive person!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Florals
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
These floral cowgirl boots were definitely a Good Buy. I loved them so much that I also bought them in black floral. They are super comfortable and the floral print really makes a statement!
Mireille of Chez Mireille
I love the color of this little Amazon kimono! My favorite way to wear it is over a column of white but here is the way I wore it recently.
Jacqui of MummaBStylish
I adore this dress and have had it for years. It’s from Next and has turned out to be a fabulous addition to my collection. It works well casually and also for going out for a nice meal on date night! Here I’ve paired with some suede ankle boots and some statement earrings.
Michelle of My Bijou Life
I’m always a little daunted by red, but this past fall, I decided I needed to add some red to wardrobe. I bought this cute top and just love it!
Rena of Fine Whatever
This skirt was a recent thrift store find. While I adore the abstract floral pattern and the fun, happy pops of color, I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to keep it or list it on Poshmark. Even so, it was absolutely a good buy.
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
Here is my good buy for the floral theme!!
I just recently purchased this pink jumpsuit from my Fashom box, and I love it!! Even Spookie approves, haha!!!
Hilda of Over the Hilda
This is definitely a good buy. I love the 70s vibe and it is the kind of dress you can wear on fat days. And the print is fun. I love wearing it with boots….
Liz of Closet Play Image
Florals caught me off guard! I have VERY few, only two! One is beyond a good buy. This floral dress was such a fabulous buy that I wear it fall through spring! For the past 5 years!
Ellie of Simply Ellibelle
This blush pink floral top caught my attention while browsing the LOFT website last spring because I was so drawn to the pretty blush pink and the flower print. While I did originally order the wrong size, I decided the top was so pretty that I exchanged it for the correct size. Needless to say, I hope to keep it in my closet for many years. I just love it!
And finally my floral skirt
These are so not my colors and that is why this is a Good-Bye for me. The skirt I mean. It was a pre loved one but is to short for me. Although I adore those gorgeous spring colors!
May’s theme will be: Tulle!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
So much fun seeing everyone’s florals! I like your skirt too, Nancy.

Thanks Michelle, it wasn’t a good one though!
Great theme for April, I am getting rid of skirts this year that seem too short for me – it appears I have a bunch!

Oh no, Nancy. It was my full intention to send something in for this one, but I quite forgot!
Nevertheless, it was a joy to see all these floral delights.
I’m drooling over Shelbee’s floral cowgirl boots and your skirt is absolutely delightful even if it is a goodbye one for you! xxx

And I didn’t remember to remember you! Tulle next month Ann!
It’s a shame you didn’t keep that skirt as it is very pretty – but better to have things in your wardrobe in colours you enjoy wearing! 🙂
I have a few floral pieces in my wardrobe – and one dress very similar to Jacqui’s actually!
Hope that you are having a good week! Starting to get some autumn weather here at last – nice and cool in the mornings and evenings.

Do you like the autumn then? We have spring here but it is still so very cold, can’t wait for warmer weather to come!
That skirt Nancy is just so pretty!! I don’t think it’s too short at all!! It shows off your amazing legs!!

Ah, missed it – I waffled too much, as I have the opposite problem of Liz in that I have too MANY floral things (shoes, pants, skirts, dresses, jackets…you name it, I have it in floral). Wonderful outfits on everyone!

Next month the theme is tulle! That is something for you!
So many fun floral! Now I’m coveting Shelbee’s boots, that darling red peplum top, and your spring skirt! Thank you for including me in your line-up, Nancy! Wishing you a wonderful and spring feeling weekend…

Thanks Liz and thank you so much fr participating, we appreciate it a lot!
I am picky about my skirts not being too short, too. I love the colors in that skirt, though and the entire outfit… bright and cheerful! Ohh, tulle sounds like a fun theme for next month!

Yes the colors are lovely but that lenght, no! Hope you will join us Carrie!
So many lovely looks and inspirations for how to wear florals in less than typical ways. The bold colors and bright prints are fabulous.

I loved your skirt, such a lovely print! Thanks for joining us, we appreciate it a lot!
Perusing this post was like a walk in the garden. So many pretty florals. So many good buys!! I am print-loving gal. Today I noticed so many of the stores are showing a lot of very neutral solids. Blush, black, cream. I struggled to find a print!! Nothing better than a pretty floral. Hope Rena will keep that skirt! She styled it perfectly and it is adorable on her.

I agree on Rena’s skirt, loved that one a lot too!
I love florals Nancy. And what a selection you have here.
