Busy Week! Throwback Tuesday #46

busy week

Last week was a very busy week. In a week we have a two week holiday and I am always so busy in the previous weeks. And with what for God’s sake, I don’t even work. Anyway, one more week to go! I’m really looking forward to a vacation. Just to get out, get away, do nothing for a while. We will be staying in our own country, sadly, I’d rather would love to go to Rye. In the first week we visit Friesland for a few nights and in the second week we will be in a hotel near the sea for a few days.

Busy but good week

I have been very busy with blogging because I actually don’t want to blog during the holiday. I do Instagram then, it is less work and I really love Instagram. Are you following me already? Please do, I want 10.000 followers by the end of this year, and it is going so slow! Lol. So I wanted to schedule a few posts. Well you can say, yes then you just don’t blog for two weeks. Mm, I think it’s quite a thing. I don’t know why, actually I do. I am a bit afraid that the numbers on my blog will drop so much, when I don’t post, and that I will worry about it all the time. Who is is a slave to their blog….But I think a post on Friday with a new outfit is too much work for just putting it out there and give not the normal attention to it. So I do have a few blog posts for you during my vacation, you will see.

So a lot of blogging, emails transferred, because one email address no longer works, also a lot of work. I have already cleaned a bit in advance, because I want to have everything ready for the holiday. And again calling after the battery of my wheelchair. Because no one will call back when you make that appointment! Working out of course too. Saturday was also a very busy day because I did some of the things I do on Monday. Because yesterday I also had a very busy day.

But then the weekend……

Gerben was busy with the BBQ. And I got new sportswear delivered. And another delivery! Two skirts and a dress. And yes, finally items I liked and fitted! From a online shop I never had heard of before. Reserved. Sunday Mother’s Day. My parents-in-law came to visit us for coffee and brought cake, now that is a visit you want to have!

And in the afternoon friends came to BBQ! Finally! Gerben had made delicious spare ribs again and we sat outside until late in the evening. Candles on, lights on. Which I forgot to make a photo of it, while it looks so cozy. Probably the wine …..

What a perfect ending of such a busy week. One week to go! Have a good one.

I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!

I usually blog extra so I have content posting even when I’m away on vacation as well. Though I have found that if I take a week off from blogging my numbers might dip but they do seem to bounce right back as soon as I start posting again. I don’t even know why I worry about it as I do not blog for money by any means but for some reason I do still feel like a slave to my blog more often than not.

So exciting for your upcoming vacay! I’m surprised you feel like a slave to your blog. I feel that way about Instagram. I feel so much more pressure for Insta. Love that bird and excited to see the new clothing you received.

Well, I don’t really feel like a slave, I am passionate about my blog. But it could look to other people like that. Thanks Kathrine!

Ooh, I’m rather envious of you going on holiday, even if it is “just” in your own country. A week in Friesland and one in a hotel by the seaside sound absolutely heavenly! We have a week booked in our own country in September, but perhaps we’ll squeeze in a couple of days once we are both vaccinated. I’m sorry Rye is off the cards for now. We were once again able to transfer our holiday (booked for 2020, then transferred to 2021) to next year. Fingers crossed.
I’m usually quite busy before a holiday as well, but I only schedule one blog post at the most. I love blogging but I think I’m enough of a slave to it as it is.
Weren’t you lucky to have two sets of visitors? And once again, Gerben’s spare ribs look absolutely delicious! xxx

We are going for four days to Friesland. And perhaps , perhaps , we can go to Rye in September! I do hope so. We weren’t allowed to have two sets of visitors, just one, but hey, we weren’t goodie two shoes for one day!

I’d be very happy with a vacation in my own country…or province…or even out of my city!! So quit your whining, Nancy (hee hee)! I am so envious of your trip, but I really do think you should take a break from blogging if you want to. I usually also schedule posts when I’m away, or I just my readers know I’m taking a break. We all need to step away for a bit!

I do not track my numbers at all, aside from noting general numbers of replies and views – I don’t care. I don’t get any money from my non-existent advertising and my traffic stays pretty steady.

Haha, okay I will! I am n a more happier place today! I also only check my general numbers and my numbers are always steady even when I do take a break, but it feels strange. I don’t make money either, couldn’t be bothered with adds and affiliate links. I find it very disturbing on blogs who do.

Your holiday sounds amazing. A hotel by the seaside sounds dreamy. All of the outfits look so nice on you! You must be excited to get away!

I know what you mean about getting the blogging ready for a vacation, but it’s worth it to have the time off!!!

Yum! We had family over both on Saturday and Sunday and while it was nice, I was happy to get back to normal on Monday. But we did eat lots of yummy food! I am the same way with blogging and vacations: I typically have some blog posts ready and end up doing comments and such. With Instagram, my numbers grow so slow so I usually don’t take a break from it.

Indeed, at the moment my IG numbers just drop every week! I don’t understand and don’t want to understand that algoritme.

A break is always good and sometimes I try to line up some guest posters, etc. Enjoy your vacation! All of that food looks SO good and that sparrowhawk looks massive!

Aren’t we all slaves to our blogs, Nancy?! Haha I scramble like that right before taking a break as well! But honestly, I think your readers will stick around even if you don’t post for a week or two. I do try to at least have my most recent post letting readers know I am on a vacation/holiday/blogging break. I am loving your outfits in this post and that sparrow hawk is really cool! I bet you really enjoyed watching him. I would have! I hope you are enjoying your holiday, my friend!
