I gave away my green ankle boots, and of course I needed some new ones! This really is the season of green looks for me, monochrome, ton sur ton, or with denim. Love it all. But I didn’t have any green ankle boots anymore. Surely had to search for a new pair! I’ve loved black clothes all my life (well, I’m not so sure about the first 12 years of it) but at the moment I’m in love with green. Not all green, I must be honest. Because some shades of green really make me look sick, so I never wear Kelly green and mint green. But sage and pine are my preference.
On the hunt for green ankle boots
So I saw green ankle boots online a while ago, read: I searched for days and days, and saw these. These green ankle boots were for sale in different web shops with different prices. Where they were cheapest, they no longer had them in my size. Then I’m one of those people who won’t buy the more expensive version, because then I feel cheated. So a few days later I drove to a shopping center because I wanted to buy something for Gerben’s birthday. That was a test for me to see how long I could last walking there. I can walk less and less because of my lung disease.
And in that shopping center is also the store where these boots were the cheapest. But far far away from where I had my car! I felt pretty good and thought, I’ll take the chance. When I arrived at the store I first stood around looking at boots, while I was catching my breath again, lol. I laugh, but it’s not really funny, haha, sorry. And when I finally felt a bit better, I saw them! In my size and even reduced by a few euros! Aren’t they beautiful! My effort was rewarded!
Green initial necklace and rose quartz bracelet
But what about these beautiful beaded initial necklace ( ketting met een letter) and rose quartz bracelet! They were gifted to me by Evi of Kluttery! This is her story.
Just before the summer of 2023, I came face to face with a burnout. Also around that time, our sweet dog jumped my beaded jewelry twice. Instead of buying something again, I decided to make it myself. With two conditions: It should not involve mass production, and it had to put a smile on my face. And so Kluttery was born! With every Kluttery item that I think of and make, I keep in mind that it should bring joy. That’s why there is also a sunny yellow ceramic smiley pendant. When you see it dangling around your wrist when you wear one of our beaded bracelets, it makes you happy. With the design of the jewelry and the smiley, my goal is to make your days a little happier. In addition, all our jewelry is handmade by me, with a lot of love.
My second demand was that our jewelry would not burden our planet. I didn’t want mass production of beads, but I got a sustainable idea. Our handmade jewelry is largely made from reused vintage and second-hand jewelry that is given new life. In addition to second-hand beads, we also use natural materials, such as freshwater pearls and natural stone – usually also reused. And always with high-quality, durable finishes in stainless steel. This combination ensures that your Kluttery jewelry remains beautiful for a long time.
I like fair prices. This way you don’t pay too much, and I get a fair reward for my work. I want Kluttery’s jewelry to be accessible to everyone, without sacrificing quality and sustainability. You can therefore see on each product page how the price was determined. This way you can see at a glance what you are paying for. With many brands you pay at least 2.5 to 3 times the purchase price for your items, but sometimes as much as 5 times. The margin for cluttery is only 2 times.
I think this is such a lovely story and I have to say the jewelry is very beautiful and of very good quality! Perfect for yourself or a lovely gift. Thanks a lot Evi!
I think different shades of green look fabulous together. And especially on dark denim. You have seen the blazer before and it is very dark green. I don’t like long sleeves. So these are perfect and I love that the sleeve of the jumper peeks out from underneath for some colour contrast.
And I love the green necklace with it. Also the rose quartz bracelet is very subtle, I like that. And I always like to touch rose quartz, it feels calming.

Thanks Jennifer!
I adore green! It’s been my favourite colour for years (before that, pink!). I love how it looks with so many other colours (orange, purple, for example). I keep thinking that I need more colourful shoes, rather than wearing black or brown all the time. I have a pair of green boots but they’re army green combat boots—I’d rather like something a bit more elegant! Your boots are fabulous, Nancy and so worth the wait. Although walking all that way to get them sounds a bit worrying with your condition!
Evi’s story is a wonderful one! And her jewellery is beautiful!
Big hugs

Thank you very much Suzy! Yes it was a bit of a ordeal. But worth it!
Oooh Nancy, this might be one of my favorite outfits of yours ever! I love green and mixing all different shades of it. I also am partial to pine and sage over Kelly green or lime green. But I do still love every shade of green! Those boots are fabulous and I adore that sweater, too. And your dragonfly brooch is adorable. I just photographed a monochromatic green outfit that I will be sharing next Friday.
Wishing you a very merry new year!

Lovely sage sweater and your boots are delightful! I am glad you were able to walk that far. My mom in law finally got on oxygen 2 weeks ago (she has COPD) and it is amazing how much better she sounds! Even when she takes it off to walk into the kitchen, she is not breathing loudly or out of breath.

Fabulous boots, Nancy! Well, of course you needed green ankle boots! I totally understand 🙂
And yes, I do think most shades of green work very well together. Well, they do in nature, so why not in an outfit?
I loved Evi’s story and her jewellery too, although it was the dragonfly brooch in particular which caught my eye! xxx

That one is from a antique store in Hastings!
Love the green booties! I like nearly all shades of green (even mint if it’s the right shade). The N necklace is really nice – it suits you.
